No. Wyrms are hand made, completely one-of-a-kind collectable creatures which are only available through Hopeful Monster Studios. You cannot buy them from any walk-in or online store.

The Wyrmhandler's Guide has a lot of good information about Wyrm adoption.

However, the simple answer is that there are a number of ways to adopt a Wyrm:

• Go to a convention: Visit a convention that Hopeful Monster Studios is attending (you can find a list HERE under the 'Welcome Message') and stop by our booth. Tea-Cup Wyrms are usually sold in a blind-draw, but larger Species are sitting out and just waiting for new owners.
• Watch us online: Watch our Deviantart or Furaffinity groups, and wait for a clutch to be posted for sale. They will usually be cross-posted to both sites. Tea-Cup Eggs are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis when they are posted online. Additionally, sometimes larger Species are sold individually, or auctioned through these groups.
• Breed a baby: During the breeding season, you can as people who already own Wyrms if they will breed their Wyrms together to make a new baby Wyrm for you. For more information on this, please see the Breeding Guide.
• Commission us: Sometimes, Hopeful Monster Studios will open commission slots, or waiting list slots. Watch our Deviantart or Furaffinity groups to keep an eye out for slots being opened. These are only for larger Species of Wyrms (sorry, you can't commission a Tea-Cup Wyrm), but it is a great way to get a custom creation from us.

Clutches are released periodically throughout the course of the year. The next known clutch will be sometime in Late-September/Early-October and will be for first-time Handlers only. They will be able to get one egg a piece to get them started in the game. The next clutch after that will be in Late-October/Early-November and will again be one-egg a piece, but open to all handlers. The exact dates that these clutches will be available is currently unknown. A post will be made to Deviantart and Furaffinity giving at least a day's notice so that people know when to expect the eggs. They may be posted at any time of day.

Wyrms are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. Wyrms cannot be reserved ahead of time, nor can you skip ahead of others who have been patiently waiting. Please do not contact Cruinndrac Farms or their staff asking to skip ahead of others. The only way to get a Wyrm is to wait, be patient, and pick one up during one of the clutches, or during the next breeding season. Harassing any member of Cruinndrac Farms' staff to try and get 'hints' on when clutches will be, or to try and avoid waiting like everyone else, will only result in you irritating said staff-members. We have nerf-bats, you have been warned.

Each type of Wyrm has two prices, depending on if it is a bred-baby or not. Bred Wyrms cost slightly more due to the extra work of having to chart the genetics of each Wyrm, as well as working with sometimes more complex combinations of Wyrm genes. The following are the current prices for each of the Wyrm Species. Please note that prices are subject to change depending on the cost of materials.

• Tea-Cup Wyrms: $20.00 / Bred-Baby: $25.00
• Standard Wyrms: $70.00 / Bred-Baby: $75.00
• Great Wyrms: $150.00 / Bred-Baby: $170.00
• Leviathan Wyrms: $250.00 / Bred-Baby: $275.00

In general, the number of breedings a Wyrm has is determined by their rarity. The more rare a Wyrm, the less breedings they have. This is done in order to keep certain genetic traits more rare within each Type. Some more unusual hybrid/crossbreeds may not quite follow the numbers below.

• Commons = 10 breedings
• Uncommons = 5 Breedings
• Rares/Ultra Rares = 2 Breedings
• Hybrids/Crossbreeds = Parents' base breedings / 2

Exceptions: Prizes won through contests held by Hopeful Monster Studios may allow a handler to add additional breedings to a Wyrm.

Your handler name must be a valid account name either on Deviantart or on Furaffinity. This allows everyone to have a couple of core places where they can be contacted regarding Wyrms. If you have changed accounts, we can update your account name to a new one, but you must provide an account to be involved, even if you don't want to allow others to contact you during the breeding season. This gives us (the staff of Cruinndrac Farms) a way to contact you if we need to.

You can change the profile image, as well as your Wyrm's main datacard image on request. Generally, we ask that you not do this more than a couple of times, as it adds extra workload to maintaining the wiki. Find an image you like, and stick with it. If you have extra artwork or images that you want to add to your Wyrm's page, we can do that, as long as it doesn't get to be too much. Again, choose a couple of pieces of nice art you want, and we'll feature those, but we won't post every piece of art ever made of a Wyrm.
