Royals, when bred to anything else, are treated like minis, which means Tea-cup or Standard babies.

I'm also going to say that since their traits are meant to be special/not easy to get, that they refuse to breed with their siblings or parents.
The only way to get a Royal prince/princess is through breeding the two Super-Rare royal parents.

I asked Shadowdancer what she thought about dating a brother. She also answered with teeth. That definitely a "no". Tiri didn't look thrilled about the idea of in-breeding either.

As for the historical examples, in Ancient Egypt, it was brother sister marriages. After a certain point, this became less of a problem as keeping the gene pool so small resulted in the weak genes dying off comparatively quickly (as opposed to the sort of in breeding made infamous by European royal families). Certain kinds of in-breeding are extremely bad and others aren't so bad but those cases are extremely rare and very specific.
