Shipping updates and a bunch of News!

I'm actually not going to be posting ANY warnings on any of the Etsy items. Part of the point is to treat it like a regular online storefront, and encourage people to check occasionally and NOT camp out. I will post a note on the forums that etsy has been updated when I list stuff, but its not going to tell WHAT is being listed, just that Etsy has new merchandise. And it will ONLY be posted on the forums, as a courtesy to the handlers who are registered and active in the community.

Basically, I want to avoid the "Ermagherd gonna sit at my computer refreshing forever!!!!!11," that we sometimes get with online clutches.

Ope, all Wyrm prices increased for 2013 slightly. The Teacups only went up 5$ for a bred baby, convention and online stock stayed the same. The rest of the Species did increase a bit, and yes, it's to take into account the time and work they take. I've been scolded by the hubby, who watches me spend hours upon hours toggling between the wiki pages of the two parents, trying to make sure the babies have remeblences to their parents and look cute. Pus, unfortunately, the postal shipping increase effects more than just what it costs ME to ship a Wyrm. It effects MY cost for fur, clay, glass eyes, paints, and all the other physical supplies that actually go into making the Wyrms themselves. I'm not the only one who had to raise their shipping costs to cover the increase...so did my suppliers. The horn apoxie, especially, is going to go up, becasue they ship based on weight. :/. ( understandable, but the stuff wasn't cheap to begin with)

The upside is that, barring a complete collapse of the US economy/dollar losing its value entirely, I don't forsee any Wyrm price increases for quite a while. I think these prices will allow me to keep up with the demand, while covering costs and providing a loveable hourly wage.

And no prob! I know its a Wall o' Text, but I figured it was better to get it all posted at once.

More to come, actually! I just crashed at about 2:30 am, but will be finishing writing up BASIC genetic rules. Not going to give everything away, but we will at least post the general way most things are charted to make it easier for breeders to achieve their breeding goals. ;3 Certain traits are quirky, and will require handlers to watch the results of other breedings/offspring to see what is required to get that particular Trait to surface.

And now, off to breakfast, and then Wyrms! Going to try and post the photos for international Wyrms today!

I had a few questions on the first page, but I realise I have another one now.

For the charms, you say three total; is that three of that specific charm [ie. 3 trait, then I could get 3 colour] or 3 in total? I just want to double check so I don't accidentally get too many.

Also thanks Arazia for putting the two posts together on the last page, derp. I was just worried the edit would be missed, but I realise it was kinda dumb, haha.

The Wyrms listed in Priority #1 are being finished and will be sent out soon.
Priority #2 Wyrms will probably still be a while. There is no guarantee that anyone is first in line. So, to answer your question: No, yours is likely not first in line. Yours requires special ordering of the skulls for the Infected Fetus Jar, which means that it will depend heavily on the availability and shipping speed of that outside item.

Right now, I would say not to worry too much over the address change. If it gets to April and your Wyrms haven't been sent out, then send HMS a mail giving her the new address. If you send it now, it might get lost, and it's better to send it when we update you that we are nearly finished on the Wyrms.

My understanding is that you can get three charms /in total/. That means you can get: 3 color, or 2 color 1 trait, etc. But we are asking that no one purchase more than three charms in any one day, to give others a chance at them.

Okay, I thought that was probably what was meant but I wanted to double check just in case. Thanks for getting back to me! Thankfully I think I only want three charms for sure, if I can get more that would be spiffy. cx

Well, if I recall correctly, HMS stumbled upon a small clutch of Fairy eggs last year and brought them with her to Anthrocon.
We'll just have to see if she finds another clutch where the original ones were.

(Read as: I believe it would be a very limited Fairy re-release, rather than mixed in with other eggs. HMS can verify this.)

Yes, three charms in total, in any one day. This way at least those in diff time zones have a bit of a chance to snag some charms as well.

Address change is no problem at all hun! Just poke at me via email if its getting close to moving time and you haven't seen a journal post saying your Wyrms are going to be mailed out soon. Btw, to you and Year, I checked w Breakspire on the glow skulls, and got a no. She's not going to be doing glow skulls much anymore, since the powder is pricey. :/ so unfortunately, thats a no go. I DO need to know from you both if you prefer avian or carnivore skulls for your infected. (Bird or mink)

As for the fairy eggs, they would be a blind draw, but a fairy only clutch posted to etsy via single eggs, IF I'm able to find some hidden in the same spot as last year. I highly suspect that patch of woods is a favorite seasonal spot for the fairy Wyrms, but won't know for sure until the weather warms up....any fairy Wyrms would be hibernating this time of year! (The cold weather makes it harder for them to get blood flowing into their wings and fly)

Okay, haha, I've been a bit nervous about it. If we're getting close I'll send you an email for sure. Awesome! I really want a flutterling and a crinkler so I hope I can grab one of each, but it's nice to know I won't inadvertantly grab another breed when I intend to get a fairy. I hope they're hiding in that place you found them. cx I'm sure there will be a limit on those as well?
