Gender-bender charm. They look like a wooden token with a picture of a frog on them. They have 3 charges each and are rare tokens. To recharge them you simply comment on the recharge sales (normally there's one before each season starts) and pay the $7 (I think?) per recharge.

Actually, gender-bend tokens cannot be re-charged.
They are one-time sales only, and half of the proceeds go to frog conservation.

So the only way to get more of those is to buy new ones.

Unlike the regular tokens, which are laser engraved, the Gender Bend tokens are all burned by hand, and intended to be able to be used as pendants. Half the proceeds of each one sold, ($10 out of $20) goes to benefit a grass roots amphibian conservation group one of husbands professors at Yale recommended. Being as frogs are in trouble, much like bees, and frogs can change gender depending on need and population, it seemed like a cute idea. I didn't make them rechargeable to encourage the sales, but honestly, allowing them to be recharged for a $10 fee with ALL the proceeds of recharges going to the conservation group has crossed my mind. I'd only be doing the burning/work once, and it would allow for more donations to help the froggers.


Thoughts? If people dig this idea I'll let Zia make it an official thing. Keep in mind, they would still be a rare item, with limited recharges available, since we don't want them to become easy or common to get. (the poor Wyrms are confused enough when it happens!) But, chance to help a good cause, and allow handlers to pair up same gender Wyrms to make pretty babies? I'm for it if its something y'all really want to see happen. Chime in, hmm?

I think it would be a good idea. It would also allow people who have managed to snag them to loan them out for the possibility of awesome pairings.

Hey if it'd be easier to help out frogs, I'd be more than happy with $10 recharges on the rare gender-bend tokens (if/when I ever get hold of any).
Would that be 3 charges or just 1, just to be clear?

Now to come up with a token to help the bees. XD

Woops poor, hurried phrasing! I meant NORMAL tokens can be recharged. Forgot to mention gender benders can't be recharged. Sorry sorry sorry

Edit: Though I see no problem with that plan D. They hold three charges and if each was a 10 dollar recharge with a limit on how frequently they could be recharged/released into the game then that'd work out.
(Plus you could end up with $30 monies for froggies if a handler recharged all three uses for example?)
