Alright folks, time for some announcements for upcoming Seasons, and a bit of News.

BREEDING SEASONS - First off. I am almost done with Winter 2012 breeding season babies. There are a very few Standards left, and once those packages are out I will immediately begin Summer 2013 babies. I will be working on these up to and during the Holiday break, while Sciggles is starting on the Winter 2013 babies.

In order to enable me to concentrate on the Summer babies and get them done as quickly as possible, and then begin right away to clear my commission waiting list and start creating convention stock for Homecon,

I will unfortunately NOT be offering any Standard slots for the Winter 2013 breeding season. What this means for anyone who had been planning on a winter Standard is that those plans will have to be bumped to Spring 2014. I WILL be offering a limited number of slots in the normally 'Stable/Breeding project only' Spring Season for those who had planned Winter Standards.

I WILL be offering a VERY limited number of Mini and Wyvern slots for the Winter 2013 Breeding Season.

The goal for doing this is to give me a bit of time to get fully caught up, clear my commission queue/waiting list, and get sculpts/molds made for all current Wyrm Types/Breeds in a Standard size. My hope is catching up and even being able to get a wee bit ahead of my work schedule will help cut down on wait times, streamline the process, and make me better able to get work done during a 'normal' 8-10 hour (ish) work day Monday through Friday, and have nights and weekends free to work on personal projects. (This is something that has not happened in FAR too long)

Winter 2013 Breeding Season is tentatively set to start Friday, December 27th, and run for 7 days OR until Sciggles cries uncle. We are lifting the Teacup limit, BUT we are splitting it up. Handlers may put in up to 6 breeding requests. After those have been approved, we ask that they wait 3 days to attempt any further breeding requests, to allow other Handlers a chance to get their requests in as well.

HOMECON - CDF's own online convention, intended as a replacement for a Anime Boston this year. We are tentatively looking at February for this event, some time after Valentines Day. More info as it gets solidified, but we are looking at a three day event (Fri/Sat/Sun) with multiple waves of Teacup, Mini, and Standard Wyrms being available for adoption. This will work much like an actual convention, with multiple batches of Wyrms put out per day, and other events going on as well. (Live badge/sketch streams, chat/meetup sessions, etc) we also welcome other artist to schedule stream sessions or sales for their own Wyrm related items....we will have a special area of the forums specifically for HomeCon related threads.


CHARITY WYRMS - Very soon we will be posting multiple special Mule Wyrms. These will be sold/auctioned for various animal related charities. Keep watch, these are going to be some wickedly cute Wyrms, and the funds are going to a good cause. Help us help out our furry/feathery/scaled friends this holiday season!


FLIGHT of the BREEDING SEASON AUCTION!!! - Ever wanted your very own fursona/character as a Wyrm?? I will be doing a special auction for a custom Mini Mule of the winning bidder's design. This can be a fursona, a themed character, or a Wyrm based off a favorite series/show/game/etc. All funds raised will go towards a plane ticket to get our Head Teacup Sculptor flown out here for the Winter breeding Season. Auction will start Thur night and run until Sunday. PLEASE NOTE!!!!! This Wyrm will be worked on AFTER all Winter 2012 and Summer 2013 Wyrms are done.

Thanks for the updates D! I do have one question regarding the breeding season restrictions though. If in a royal breeding one person was getting a standard and one was getting a mini clutchmate, what season would the breeding take place in?

Depending on how many royal breedings I get pounced with, I miiiight be able to sneak the mini in this season, and work on the standard in the spring season. So the actual breeding would count for winter, but the baby would be "un hatched" until spring.

I thought you were going to wait until after the New Year to open breeding season? Guess I'll say this here, then. I will be pretty much almost completely computer-free the entire length of breeding season. So, if you have a breeding scheduled with one of my wyrms, let me know and I'll see what I can do about approving it during that time. I'm not sure what else I can do as I'll not only be at someone else's house, but I'll be overseas. PMs are best.

I was also under the impression that we would be doing this in January. I'm concerned about getting the breeding permission slips in as the form acceptance will be pretty much just before Christmas and a lot of people will likely be away from computers and with family.

We are doing it during/through the holidays because most folks will be on vacation from work/school spending holidays with their families....including staff. This is when both myself, Zia, Sciggles, and my hubby (also know as He who doth Wrangle the ZoeBeast) will be on vacation from RL, non Wyrm job stuff, and free to work. If you are concerned about not being able to approve/get approval for breedings, I can ask Zia if it would be possible to log approvals ahead of time or something similar. Just not sure if this would create huge headaches for her. Keep in mind, we are trying to balance timing that's good for most folks, but there's always going to be someone its inconvenient for. Unfortunately, any of being 'on call' for Wyrm stuff 24/7, there's not much I can do to avoid that.

Also, the form exceptence/breeding season isn't starting until AFTER Xmas....DEC 27th. That was done intentionally, to avoid interfering with people spending the holiday with their family.

I can do the same thing I did before, which is open the list a few days early for approvals only.
It seemed to make things a bit cleaner/faster last time.

^^^ I thought the breeding approval thing was always done a few days in advance and not on the day of breeding season, hence the concern and not wanting to bother people on Dec 23 or somesuch for it.I knew breeding season was after Christmas and I do understand that we all need time with family. That really wasn't what I said at all.

The breeding approval was a new thing for last season.

I can start it as early as the 20th for people who are going out of town, etc.
With the actual season starting after Christmas on the dates D defined.
