How do/did you come up with your wyrm's names?

Yep, I'm curious lol. Do you have a theme going? Do you wait until you have your wyrm to name them?

I personally seem to have a thing with colors.

Cloud: When I first saw him, I called him a "chocobo head". I had to call him Cloud after that.
Mocha: Her coloring reminded me of the drink.
Ladon: He's actually named after a character of mine who happens to be a green wyvern.
Cryo and Wisp: A friend of mine named these two but I think the coloring on them sparked an ice-ish theme for her.
Sunny: A nice, bright yellow happy face. It fit him.

Morgan: Way back in the day, I read a book called Morgan Morning about a horse that becomes a unicorn. (The horse is male, but I think it works as a female name, too.)
Felicia: Since she was pink, I wanted a name that was very feminine, and this one came to me first.
Ferron: It means Iron, and I wanted a name that meant something metal for my Tesla.
Nyte: Variation on 'night' obviously, since he was such a dark blue.
Cairan: Named by my mate, it's a Gaelic girl's name.
Drake: For some reason, I thought he had the green of a mallard duck, and I thought of Drake Mallard from Darkwing Duck.
Ryu: It means 'dragon' in Japanese, and he looks like a little dragon.
Chompy: Well, with that underbite, he just kind of 'screamed' Chompy at me.

So, as you can tell, my names kinda come from all over the place.

Cabbage: the moment i saw him, i knew that he was going to be named cabbage! i think it was a mix between his little mane and his bright green colours!
Othello: one of my friends named her, Othello was her temporary name that just stuck :3
Ratchet: i got Ratchet at AC, when i introduced my friend to wyrms. She had gotten a Copper Tesla named Clank, so she suggested "Ratchet" for my new Wyrm!
Pomegranate: Pom was another one of my AC wyrms, her temporary name was "festive Fella" affectionately given to her by my little cousin. But it was later changed to Pomegranate after AC was over, due to her resemblance to the fruit :3

Mine are usually spur of the moment names.

Querinox was my first wyrm and of course the first thing I saw when trying to register was something about not having an already current name. Being the noob that I was, I figured this game had been going on forever and in Drag Cave fashion, I made a rather unlikely to be duplicated name. Of course right after I named her, I found the part of the wiki where all the wyrms were named. XD

Raven: I picked her up without the slightest idea of her gender, so I needed a gender neutral name. I was kinda surprised this name wasn't snatched up already, so I registered it as soon as I could.

Denver: Well, I had just come from visiting my parent's house who seem to always be 'from Denver' (incorrectly no matter how many times I correct it) according to many of my friends and my boyfrined's mother. It seemed to be a popular enough male's name, so Denver it was.

Ginger: I needed a 'playful' name for this adorable mountain wyrm, but was coming up empty for a name. I also was getting hungry and ended up in a food-y mood so I named her Ginger for lack of a better name. It sounded playful enough to me.

Azure: This little guy was named for his bluish color. He was named before I knew a gender, so I wanted to choose something neutral. Though his color is actually more of a turquoise, I didn't think Turquoise was very gender neutral at the time. It seemed more of a feminine name to me, though now that I think about it, I believe I have heard it used as a masculine name. XD I still like the name Azure. It stuck for him. :3

Cypress (Teacup): Roleplay charather of mine / ball jointed doll of mine.
Firaite (Teacup) : She looked like she was on fire!
Puppy (Mini) : named after my dear friend's nickname, who is sort of in love with this wyrm of mine.
Macy (Teacup) : Black Friday wyrm, I worked the midnight opening shift, take a guess where I work?
Geddy Lee (Teaspoon) : named after Geddy Lee of the band Rush
Boomstick (Fetus Jar) : I'm an evil dead fan and. THIS IS MY BOOMSTICK.

Quetzalcoatl (Leviathan) : Because that is exactly who he IS.

Azulon's was simple. I was going to go with Azula, but he ended up being a boy. Fire lord Azulon was the next choice as suggested by a friend.

Deimos: Named after one of the mate's Rp characters, who is a blue demon. <3
Karazuko: Named after one of the mate's Rp characters.
Lily: Because she reminded me of the flower, which I had as my wedding flower.
Haze: The mate suggested 'cloud' and 'wisp' which were already taken, so this seemed to fit.
Branwen: I was looking for a Gaelic/Welsh sounding name, and this one is one of my favorites.
Beagan Laoch: Means 'little warrior' in Gaelic. Decided to name mine in Gaelic after HopefulMonster did the same, since they are twins.

Well, Tuppence is a Tarnished Copper Tesla, so it just kind of made sense. She's my little bad penny. ^^ Carlin is actually named for the late and great George Carlin. It works well because of the silly face he's got, he looks like a comical little wyrm.

My wyrm's name - Shasty - comes from few reasons; 1) Analogically to a name I like, Shasta (if he'd turn out a girl, she'd be named Shasta) 2) On russian, "shastie" means "happiness" 3) And also, on russian, "shastat" means "to crawl", "to lurk". So my baby is Shasty - my little crawling happiness.
