I will just have to save my money for new wyrms at FF and MFF.
Good luck to all the bidders, and good job, D, for creating such a cool back story for the little monster!

That's true. 'Value' is based upon what it is worth to the person who is willing to pay the price. To have a one-of-a-kind collectible, collectors are willing to go VERY high, as we all know. That is why original art will always go for more than limited edition prints, and limited prints will always sell for more than open-ended print runs.
The wyrms are OOAK art dolls, and obviously people are willing to bid high for the chance to be the first to own a unique item. (After all, it didn't get that high with only one person bidding...)
Just because I can't afford it does not mean that I don't think the artist deserves all she can get for it. She invented a cool 'world' that we all want to play in, and having a unique item in that world makes it even more fun for many players.
I'm sure whoever ends up with the naughty little girl will love her, write stories about her, and do art of her (or get art made.)
