Wyrm Egg Convention limits?

5 sounds perfectly reasonable to me. I think that's the amount I purchased at the last con to fly some out to CS members. There's enough so that you can keep one or two for yourself and send some out to friends that can't go

If you're concerned about the Internet folks who aren't able to attend conventions that you are (such as myself lD), you could always release a small online clutch of wyrms only a few times each year, or however many times you see fit. It doesn't have to be as often as the convention clutches, just at least once a year. c:

Alternatively, if you're worried about people checking your Etsy page too much, you could have a small raffle for an online clutch or a single wyrm. This way, everyone would have a chance at a wyrm without having to be the first to snag one. Where you submit the raffle info/signups and how many times you create a raffle a year is up to you.

5 sounds great, it's good for us heavy hitters who buy larger-more wyrms, on my end this at least allows me to set aside money for breedings and picking up standards and greats for sale at the con. And it allows others to get some for themselves and others if their doing pickups, and prevent someone from picking up a few dozen for a lot of people.

And you could easily write down badge name- handler names, or do on site listed registration of wyrms.

I'm concerned about the at con charms getting bought up, perhaps those too should be 5 per person.

Yeah I agree with everything else and 5 is reasonable.
but I don't really know if only international clutches are fair. I myself am in America but cant go to cons.
The only one I could probably go to if HM even goes if MFF.
But that's just me xD

During breeding seasons would there be a limit as well to that? Only like four or five breedings per person? I was just curious of this because theres only so many slots for breedings and some people who planned out breedings might not get to. I'm not really able to travel so far to the conventions so the only real way I can get them is online, the only time I can have a chance to obtain one is through breedings as the eggs only come out during my school hours. Not meaning to be complaining here, that's the last thing I want ya'll to think, I was just curious. ^^; <3

Right now, we're only really looking at the Convention limits.
From what I noticed during the previous breeding season, while some people did get quite a few breedings, no one really got left out. Anyone who actually completed their requests did end up getting their babies, even with limited slots.

I think HMS and the rest of the CF team are saints. I can't imagine having to chart, craft & sew all of the breeding season Wyrms on top of convention and online clutches.

My only "issue" with the Convention Wyrms is that they tend to be limited edition worms that are not available elsewhere. It wouldn't be an "issue" so much if everyone that bought one would register and actively participate in the game, but when we only have one Female of a specific Con Only Wyrm registered, it makes it hard for the rest of us to try for breedings without driving that Handler insane.

I'm one of the unlucky few that will likely never make it to a Con that HMS/CF attends (unless you guys decide to hit up the West Coast/LA area). I, like pretty much everyone else, put my request to have Wyrms picked up at last season's Con's, but I never heard from anyone who was willing - I know I can't be the only one.

I guess it's a slippery slope no matter which path you choose. I think the limits are fair, especially for those that make the time and effort to attend. I would be bummed if I showed up to a Con with the intention of walking away with one of these lovely Wyrmies only to have them all snatched up at the start.

I apologize if this doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm incredibly sleep deprived and my mind is going a mile a minute.

Look at it thus way for us con goers, while price did go up for s&h, con prices themselves are going up. I'll be attending all 3 days of anthrocon 2013, and since I'm a Pittsburgh native ill be commuting every day. So lets factor in my own costs to attend, $50 pre-registration, plus parking Friday will be $13 sat n sun $5 per day; given the garage I use. So far we're at $73 bucks. And we're not even touching gas for my car much less other expenses food + spending money. For others it's some of the above costs plus hotel costs. Not to mention whatever it cost them to get there,( i have a friend who flys in from ENGLAND)

If Someone is throwing down that much to even show up, or even to those who attended fur fright and got those limited zombie wyrms? *thumbs up* you deserve them. It's no easy feat or cost to attend, so if going to these cons grants the congoers access to limited edition con-only wyrms I have no issue with it, and like with Rii'haku (con only) and Tiri (auction) if I want one so bad I'll figure out how to get a breeding from them!

While I don't pick up wyrms for people (sans my brother owner of Amethyst), I know that I would be willing to help others get breedings or try to arrange breedings with a wyrm I got if it turned out limited, within reason of course.
