So this puffball is why I've been sparse

Her name is Chrysanthemum and she's from my latest litter. She and her brother are half the size of their larger siblings, but she hasn't been putting on weight, unlike bro who is. So I'm possibly going to be pulling her entirely and completely hand raising her, but right now she's still with her siblings, just getting feedings from me every two hours.

I'm around a fair bit for now, but if I do hand raise her, I'll be conked.

I'm hoping this extra attention will help Chrysie get bigger and stronger. Please keep little wee one in your thoughts!

She's a baby hamster. she is 13 days old today and it looks like I will have to pull her and completely hand raise her, as her weight dropped again. Her brother is maintaining his weight okay and their siblings are all huge and healthy.

Chrysie has doubled in size, and her brother is just a smidgen bigger than her now. The esbilac is paying off, as are the feedings every 2hrs. Not out of the woods yet, but a definite improvement!



She crawled on my hand last night, groomed, then fell asleep. Oh, be still my beating heart!
