Or hey, here's a thought if limiting one egg per person per stream, max 1-2 wyrms per person. As a modifier, could do what was done during that one limited egg draw and put your name in the hat but ONLY for your top 5-6 egg picks per clutch of 10, max. That should be a big enough range that most folks who get drawn would be able to pick from their list of choices, but if someone is near the end of the 1-10 line and all their listed picks were already chosen (or they opt to pass) then that person could be given higher priority in the next stream's draws as a reward for letting the next person have their chance in that stream for an egg that they listed. If the next person didn't have the remaining eggs listed, move to the next person until someone actually does have that egg listed as one of their choices. Then all the folks who get passed over in this stream can get randomly pulled for higher priority picking in the next stream. The final stream of the event could then be anything-goes for the people who didn't yet get an egg in the previous streams and it would be close to being able to have everyone get one or two that they really wanted to pull.

I highly support this. It could have really helped in my case because I passed, but did not get another chance in the last stream where I would have picked among a few different eggs depending on availability. I think a lot of other people would have found this helpful too, especially those on the end of the list with little to no option on which egg to choose.

I've always thought of Homecon as a Con for those of us who couldn't get to the conventions for whatever reason, so I guess, for me, I get a bit discouraged when I see so many of the convention going folks getting slots versus those who normally wouldn't have a chance.

I was lucky enough to snag a few slots in last year's HomeCon, so I do consider myself lucky in that regard, but this year I was only able to get on for online for one stream due to prior obligations. Statistically,if the draws were run as suggested by Jaspers, I think I probably would have had a much better chance of snagging a spot in the final stream.

I know it's hard to please everyone, and I know you all do your best to try and keep things fair. I guess I'd just (selfishly) like to see something more directed towards those of us who aren't able to make the cons. With that said, I know you all need to do what is best for yourselves and the game - thank you for taking the time to listen to our feedback, even if you may not agree.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. There's a lot of things I want to do differently next year. Most of them have been addressed, but here's my 2 cents from the staff point of view.

Firstly, as Zia has said, there were a lot fewer wyrms this year than last year. Multiple things combined to cause this but unfortunately the end result was something we've been dealing with almost since day one. Demand for wyrms is much higher then supply. Some of this is due to the fact that Sciggles and I can only sculpt and assemble so fast. Its not only the sculpting, but then the cooking painting clear coating and assembly. In addition, she still has a lot of bred babies that she's been working her tush off on. As do I, and I want to get those finished and out to people as soon as possible.

The hiccup with the lists is totally my fault. Zia was dealing with some personal stuff and so you all got to witness my abysmal organizational skills. (Or rather, complete lack thereof) This is exactly why she is the Scribe, and I'm the clay smoosher. But life stuff happens, so I handled (poorly) the organizing while she dealt with things on her end.

As far as other events, next year I will definitely do a tipsy stream, or suggestion/themed stream for fun. And other silly events as well.
Because next year, HomeCon will NOT be held on my birthday weekend. It was a comedy of scheduling that it ended up on this weekend this year, and I will mist certainly not be making that mistake again. Trying to juggle finishing last minute wyrms in addition to getting everything photographed, running the streams and answering questions while trying to spend time with my family was a nightmare. There were multiple times we rushed to get back from family stuff so I could stream eggs at least close to on time. Frankly, it sucked, and it is not something I plan to do again.

That being said I am going to attempt to make a small clutch of Teacups and do a stream at some point this week just for those who did not get any eggs at HomeCon. I will not promise anything but my best efforts. If its not this week, it might be next week, and there won't be a ton of them. But I'll see what I can do.

That was my concern too kiti, I only attended one stream to egg-sit for my friend so she would know what her choices were. The purpose of Homecon, wasn't just so we could sit in pj's and not pay high taxes, fees, hotels. Homecon was also created to give newer handlers and members unable to attend any or few cons a much better chance at getting a wyrm. But not just that, it gives members a higher chance who have never attended a con an idea what it would be like if they could as well as picking their own egg. When we post for a pick-up, there's a large chance we wont be picked especially if we have less to offer. I've noticed that this year there have been less pick-ups, and it seems like most of the asking is done to a picker who said in the chat they were going rather then the picker messaging people who posted in the pick-up thread.

There's been alot of problems with pick-ups too, so people are less willing. Sometimes you end up with a pick you yourself wouldn't had chosen. While you can trade it trading ends up costing more money. Homecon lets you pick your own egg, lets you feel all the feelings congoers feel about the excitement, anxiousness and joy. You're also more likely to bond with a wyrm you picked yourself then one someone else did.

I did like that D was able to sell other things then wyrms and tokens. The collars were gorgeous, and had one been right for Echidna I would've bought it. The tokens were well made, you could see all the details dispite the small screen. I'd like to see more

I was unable to attend anyone else's though i did watch the slurp videos. I saw how many people were around and it was nice to see everyone talking, posting. Even if I couldnt keep up in the chat. It was nice seeing everyone's wares, I wish I could've caught everypnes stream but with my laptop needing me to poke at it and some personal issues I wasn't able to. So I can't really say much about how any of the others went. I do say I hope we can all be more organized next year with the shops :3 I think homecon caught most of off guard, since it was changed from feb on the board to march. I think thats why less people set up shop and that it also was posted late outside of the forum.

It's also really nice to see auctions and a collab, since at cons there are events like these.

I appreciate the effort everyone involved made this year, I hope that next year will be better and full of surprises.

DO IT! lol I kind of wish I could do "whose line is it wyrmyway?" or something since I do improv every week but I'd need to have a group of people to do that so maybe another Homecon in the future. We should definitely get together as a community and have like a panel suggestion threat though
