Well, I know the Okami x Xiu Mei breeding will basically look exactly like them (barring some sort of spontaneous mutation). So not too much of a surprise there.

Sinneca x Kylie I'm expecting a purple baby (since that's all that's genetically possible, I think?RryyBb), I think with some sort of benign white? and it'd be cool if she had Kylie's striped tail poof, though I'm hoping he/she takes after Sinneca for head/horn shape and the like. Side question, what is the difference visually between rRyybB and RRyyBB?

Sapphire x Mith...NO idea what to expect, haha. That's the fun of it, though!

I have really no idea what to expect with my Varric/Morgan pairing, Varric's canid features are dominate (XX) so I'm hoping for a foxy faced wyrm with horns and plating. Not sure if the wee one gets ears or not, that's a 50 % chance but I dearly hope so with all my heart! I have a marvelous accessory to stick on those adorable ears!
One thing I'm extra curious about is his colour, technically mah baby can only come out brown, but then there's Varric's dilute to liven the mix ^^, so I wonder if there's a chance at silver or grey??

My little sister is over the moon to get her first wyrm and is hopping for a silver fluff ball like it's mother Mith (She got a Sapphire/Mith breeding as well) What ever the resulting Wyrmling though I'm sure she'll be extra miffed, I know OSheia and me will be X3

Pony girl...checked your breedings pending and question...the Kylie Sinneca breeding has a question mark by the species for Saiya. Are you coordinating a clutchmate with her? Because someone should warn her breeding a teacup to a standard can only produce a standard baby, not a teacup.

Yeah, with the teacup population being so huge theres no reason to breed down with a standard...and a lot of the standards have features that won't translate to teacups. I can contact those Handlers with a heads up if you want?

Well, I can think of a few reasons to breed down: if you just happen to prefer the tiny size and/or want a certain combination of genes, or can't afford a Standard. ($75 vs $30 is a big jump for some folks) I'm mainly the first category, actually, since I like having tiny things, but I personally wanted at least one 'big' one to wear around and pose looking at things. Was a little disappointing to find out I wouldn't be able to get tiny Tea-Cups out of my upcoming Standard, though (since the wiki mentioned that transferring details from a big wyrm to a smaller one was harder than vice-versa, I just pictured simplified versions of the bigger sizes), so any time I'd breed him/her it would be another $75 or more.

I suppose this would limit interest in crossbreeding to those who really wanted that larger size, though.

I'm also in this category. I actually prefer the Teacup sized Jiao-Di, but will go for the Standard if there's no other choice. *shrugs* No worries either way, though this will affect future breedings, I think.

The certain combination of genes limiting is completely and totally intentional. There are going to be some traits and such that ONLY show up on standards or larger, or Types/Breeds that don't come in the smaller sizes. (Pipefoxes are a perfect example....they aren't offered in Teacup size...neither are Stone Wyrms) it's meant to make those particular Breeds or Traits more exclusive, rarer, and not as easy to get. 90% of the Wyrms I make are teacups, which are intended to be a nice, small, affordable Wyrm for general collectors. The bigger, flashier, or more ornate Wyrms are more expensive because they take a LOT more work. And as such, those adopting them are going to end up with some trait or gene perks that aren't available to a Teacup Wyrm.

I feel like I've done my best to make Wyrms in every price point, and allow for people on different budgets to enjoy collecting and breeding them. But yes, it DOES limit crossbreeding Standard traits into Teacup Wyrms. That's because it was intended to. (Can you picture me trying to figure out an already super hybridized Teacup Wyrms traits, AND trying to figure out how to fit as many extra, not seen in teacup size Standard Traits into it as well??? I'd be a babbling mass of frustrated, irritated artist who just wants to run off into the woods and hide under a rock.
