Me: "Hey everyone, I got a little surprise for you!" Everyone: "YAY! A SURPRISE!" Ippalita: "What is it??" Me: "Well, you're just going to have to open it to find out!"
With much cheering and excitement, they were literally throwing themselves at the parcel! It wasn't long till I heard some wimpering, and Filomena mentioned "It's completely taped shut! We can't get into it!"
Me: "Ok, stand back, I'm getting my scissors to help you guys out."
It was right about then, when we all started to hear some kind of muffled sound coming from inside. Alfonso: "It's another wyrm!! Ok guys, let's do this: Mena, you get the tab, I'll open the box. Ippy and Flavio, you guys stay down there - I want Ippy to hold the lid down, and you, Flavio, to get him out!"
Ippalita: "Hey, who says it's a BOY?!" They suddenly stopped in the middle of Flavio dragging out a wrapped up wyrm in bubblewrap. More muffled sounds came from inside. Flavio: "Sure sounds like a boy to me."
Alfonso still took the role of being the leader: "Ok everyone, let's get him out! Ippy and Mena, hold down the end while Flavio and I unroll him!" Flavio: "I'm hungry." Filomena: "You can eat later, this is more important!"
Soon enough, the head of a Bright Darter popped out: "Hurray, I'm free!" Flavio: "You look weird." Al, Ippy, and Mena, all in unisen: "FLAVIO!! Don't be rude!" Flavio: "Well...he does."
Flavio: "Are you part chicken?" The new Darter: "Uh...what??" Flavio: "You have that funny thing on your head, like a chicken." The new Darter, looking somewhat annoyed: "I...am not a chicken. I'm a Bright Darter, a marine wyrm! This is my fin. And...Why are you licking me?!?" Flavio: "To see if you taste like chicken. You don't."
Filomena: Ugh! Ignore Flavio, he's a Creepy McCreeper! Welcome to the squirm!" Alfonso: "See? I told you it was another male!" Flavio: "Oh. Another purple one." Mena: "And what is so wrong with purple?!?"
The new Darter: "Absolutely nothing wrong! However, it appears that purple looks much more beautiful on you!" From that, Filomena just curled up into a little ball of fluff! Ippy: "Aww, Mena's blushing!" Mena: "Am not!!" Alfonso: "Mena's got a booooyfriend!" Mena: "SHUT UP!" The new Darter: "Hey, I wouldn't mind..." Flavio: "How come you never blush when I tell you you're hot?" And everyone just shook their heads, rolled their eyes...and I'm sure that if they had hands, they'd facepalm too XD
Me: "Ok guys, time for a group picture!" The new Darter: "So...Mena, is it? Can I be next to you?" Mena: "S..sure!" Ippy: "Mena and the Darter sitting in a tree..." Al: "By the way, what's your name?" Me: "I haven't named him yet! But don't worry, little guy, I'll come up with a nice name for you." Flavio: "Ralph." Me: "You know that I'm naming you guys Italian names..Ralph isn't Italian." Flavio: "No, I mean I'm going to ralph, from all this cuteness. Hurry up and take the picture..."
Well, that's my little wyrm adventure for the day
Been thinking on naming the new Darter Guisseppe. Or possibly something else. We'll see
