Lace and Pitch Black Traits? (Wyrm Genetics)

So, I've been reading though the wiki (yet again...) and this time I was really intrigued when I came to read more about a certain couple of traits in wyrms which apparently when bred into XX result in horrible mutations; Lace and Pitch Black.
I've seen what happens when Pitch Black becomes XX, but what happens when Lace becomes XX? Has anyone even done that yet?
I'm really interested to see, and if no one has yet, well, I'll be tempted to try and create this 'unpleasant mutation' myself. (Even if someone has, I'll still be adding that to my goals.)

Now, I don't really know much about how the wyrm trait genetics work, so that is my second question.
How do they work?
Does a small x mean recessive and a large X mean dominant?
Is there a difference when is comes to xx, xX and XX (other than in Lace and Pitch Black)?

PB does indeed become a horrible nightmare from their genetic infection. Their bodies turn to black sand like in Rise of the Guardians. At the moment there are NO XX lace wyrms but there are XX lace dragons from the Blitzava game. These dragons have pitted skin and missing eyes if the lace crosses over the eye.

The x's basically mean how strong a gene is. It allows you to predict how likely a wyrm is to pass on that gene.

For example above shows two parents with XX genes (or in this case YY or GG so they do not get confused with one another). As you can see if you cross XX and XX, you will always get XX as your four options for children.


BUT if you cross xX and xX (or in this case Aa) you will get a 25 percent chance of XX, 25 of xx, and 50 for xX.

In our lovely wyrm game it also can mean if the gene will show or not. For example, my wyrm Azulon does not SHOW benign white since only his mother carried it and that's how the dice fell. But he does gentically carry it himself. So it can be carried over into offspring (and was!)

Oh my, that actually sounds somewhat interesting. I'm definitely adding Lace XX to the list of goals I have.

As a side note I forgot, you can also run each of the colour code sections though the same squares to see the results. Just use rr, rR, or RR (the red section), yy, yY, YY (yellow) and bb, bB, BB (blue) instead of the X's in the punnet squares.

Benine White and Firework are different genes. Benine/Benign White is, as the name indicates, benign. On its own it has no harmful effects, no matter how much of the gene the dragon has. It's the Firework gene (which does sound to be about the same as the wyrm Lace gene) that can be harmful/lethal if it's homozygous (XX). And when a dragon has both Benine White and Firework, then the Benine White combines with the Firework markings to potentially increase the area that could be mutated by the double dose of Firework.
