Fursonas

My fursona was at first a hellhound, named bargest when I finally named my actual fursona she became it. I first drew her as a cat but cs only really had wolf lines, so she's gone through a few changes. She'll be going through a few more changes, as I have no anthro of her. She'll be gaining a fluffy cat tail, dark brown tiger stripes, and pointy wolf ears. I also made her with a mate, a yellow and white husky. However she no longer has a mate to speak of. I channel the loyalty the wolf feels towards its mate, I keep the pack together, and teach my wisdom. I also have the personality of cats, SHINY! what's this? -trips over self- *bats at* murr? murrrrrrrrr! *tackles* and on the other side of the coin if I wasn't to be left alone I generally am left alone, because bad things happen when people im mad at touch me. Mistreated and tossed aside like a stray, I have only my own strength to defend me and I will fight. As for the tiger aspect, love the water i'll swim and swim and swim while everyone else got out like two hrs ago. Everyone else is cold and turning blue and im like "where ya going guys?" I also am fiercely protective of whats mine, especially mates. VERY territorial. I will mark whats mine and if you don't get the picture you'll not be too happy about what happens. <.<

Bargest is now my patriarch to my hellhound "pack", he used to be bred often. now he just sort of chills with Brimstone watching the lives of their kids. Bargest is already a great, great, great, great, great, grandparent. It's a good thing hellhounds live so long XD He's also still very much my favorite out of all my demonic beauties.

My fursona is Shadra Avro, a black jaguar. She comes from a village nestled in the forest where drums and colourful lanterns and such are the norm. They are a trading culture based on entertainment and jewelry and other crafts. Shadra herself is a dancer and thus in charge of passing down the tales and legends of her home.

In short lotsa jingly jangly jewelry and dancing because I absolutely adore dance. As you can see her markings have changed a little over time (the purple is dyed into her fur) but her overall look is still the same. Had her since about 2008.

I've got a blue and brown, winged snow leopard character. She's actually a snow leopard with great horned owl wings, but because I'm a bit of a science nerd, I've got a whole explanation on how she evolved that way. As well as paragraphs on how those adaptations aid her in life, what her habitat is, and what her prey she eats.

I'm not really sure she counts as a fursona, although that doesn't stop me from calling her one. She's pretty much just an avatar, without any real story of her own. If I'm RPing with other peoples fursonas, or animal characters, then I RP her as an animal version of myself. When I do artwork of her, I see her as a normal animal, without any human characteristics.

Nekogirlcloud's fursona is a snow leopard named Mint Tea. My fursona is an African Wild Dog/Dhole mix named Adora. ^_^ Can't get to the pics to link right now. Will have to post them later. I like everyone's fursonas.

My fursona is a grey wolf name Smoke. *points to username*

I've had her for a few years now, haven't changed her too much short of darkening the grey color and changing the accessories.

She first had a necklace with a wolf pendant (I could never draw it)

Then it was a dog tag.

Now it's just a red tie.

I've had quite a few fursonas over the years, but my main one was Tacita for a good number of years. I've only recently put her to fursona-retirement since I feel like she doesn't really represent me anymore. I still love her like crazy though. <3 She also had a mate, Loki (on the far right next to Tacita), who I based off of a character I briefly saw while playing one of the .hack//G.U. video games.
I don't have images of all of my fursonas, but I know one at one point I was thinking about changing from Tacita to another fursona which was a gray and white husky named Desire, aka Desi. She was rather short-lived though, since I never really felt like I connected with her. Another short-lived 'sona was Cola, a calm dog-like creature I doodled up one day. I never really connected with him either, although he was really fun to draw. x3

One of my more recent fursonas was actually a Pokesona, a deino to be exact. I still like them, but have recently become less connected with them.

Right now, I've been toying with fursona ideas here and there. I'm still not sure what species to choose, but it will probably be a wolf (or another canine of some sort) or a dragon, since those are my two favorite animals. <3

Ahhhh I love everyone's! I've been considering drawing inspiration from a maned wolf, a leopard, and/or a dragon but I haven't been able to come up with anything I like yet. It doesn't help that I am a terrible drawer and can't see my ideas on paper the same way I see them in my mind!

Oh wow, I'm horrible on this topic. I really love collecting characters (I have around 65 now) and draw/write about them as much as possible, but I don't have a fursona. I just don't think I'd have any connection to something based off of myself. I primarily use my characters for writing, and if I were to write from a fursona's point of view, it would just be hashing out events that had already happened in my life and I wouldn't be able to use it in any of my stories. I don't see my characters as representations of myself and if I had a set design for a canine representation of myself, I wouldn't really be able to see it as a character, just a design for people to associate with me. This is just my personal opinion though and it's different for many other people.
Now, all of that being said, I'm sure I have some characters that people do associate with me on other sites since I post art/writing of them so often. Most people who've met me online will probably associate my character Tomare with me (he's certainly not a fursona though since he's human and doesn't represent me at all). While he is not a fursona at all, he's definitely my favorite character and I wouldn't be willing to give him up for anything in the world.

Haha, well I personally hadn't ever gotten into the term 'fursona' but I've been Ponygirl for as long as I've been in the fandom (actually longer since I had come up with the name in high school...needed an eight-letter username for my school e-mail address). I usually draw myself as a traditional buckskin unicorn (pony-corn) with the lion tail and cloven hooves, stocky and with shaggy feet, gold horn/hooves, and purple eyes. Basically the horsey equivalent of RL me (tan with black hair), but I thought purple eyes stood out more nicely than brown. :>
