Our friends, whom 5 months ago welcomed their twin boys, Sam and Dean (yes, named after THAT Sam and Dean) into the world. At the time of his birth, they were informed Sam had a heart issue that would require surgery. Well, the time has come, the appointment is being made, and little Sammy is undergoing open heart surgery. Now, insurance will be paying for some of the procedure, but not all. "Ziggy's" (Sam's daddy) just posted to his Facebook that he is going to be baking home-made pies and selling them to raise funds in his free, non working time. The hubby and I are, of course, hopping on that like white on rice, but I wanted to do more to help. I know how I'd feel if Zoe had to undergo something that major, especially at such a young age.
This is where you all come in. I have a Teacup Wyrm that was one of the Winter Teacup babies of a player who is no longer a part of the game. I had started sculpting it and its clutchmate before I realized which Wyrm it was, and decided to just go ahead and finish it with some extra Traits. The intent was to introduce it as something new, called a Gene Loaded mutt. The idea behind it being that these Wyrms would be VERY rare, not come out often, and be snuck into convention or online stock. They would have multiple extra Traits, not typically found together on a single Teacup without extensive crossbreeding and Tokens. They would basically be hidden treasures for those who ended up adopting them.
Well, having this news about Sam's surgery come to light I've changed the plan for this particular Wyrm a bit. I am holding an auction, starting now, and going until midnight tomorrow night, EST. Winning bidder has their choice of having the Wyrm sent with summer or winter Wyrms, which are going out Monday, or separately if no bred babies are pending. I will cover US shipping if this is the case, international will be a few dollars to help cover costs. I would like to note, EVERY penny of this auction will be donated to Sam's surgery.
