Breed: Loaf (Common)
Type: Bakers Wyrm
It looks like bakeries in the area are having some odd new visitors in their kitchens! These shy, yet quite chubby, bready wyrms are not what you'd expect as a normal loaf of bread. They tend to hide in fear of being mistaken for actual food (which happens more often than not), especially with other wyrms. Once they know that they won't be your food, Loaves can be quite friendly and helpful in the kitchen! Just be careful not to bake them a second time...they don't like that too much. Bakers Wyrms create themselves using ingredients handy to them, and are always looking to create more of themselves. They can come out of your oven when you least expect it!
Possible (but not required) traits:
- Dapple (in brown tones, white, or off-white, like seeds)
- Speckle w/BW (BW is like frosting only not actual FROST)
- Frost (because you can totally freeze your bread!)
- Banding (depending on the type of bread)
- Harlequin (you can totally half a half n' half bread loaf!)
-
NEW TRAIT: "Drizzle", either carefully planned, or carelessly placed, markings along the head and snout. Pattern may vary. Most common in off-white (anyone else craving cinnamon rolls?)
Features:
- Loaf-shaped head (length may vary)
- Brown-toned bodies because...they're bread.
- Tones indicate the doneness of the loaf. Nightmares, in this case, would be considered "Burnt".
- Eye color may vary, but it is believed that altered eye tones are the result of berries and fruit within the loaf.
- They do have tongues, but you have to be careful as they may nibble on each other.
Additional Ideas Regarding Bakers Wyrms:
- Babies or Teacups are considered "Croissants" or "Crumbs"
- Additional Commons could be like Rolls, Bagels, or other plain-esque breads.
- Uncommons would be closer to pastries and donuts.
- Rares are a bit more elaborate and upscale like cake slices (or full cakes?)
The idea of the Bakers wyrms was based on an ongoing joke conversation in the Telegram chat when D's speech-to-text kept autocorrecting "bred" as "bread". Thus, the idea of bread-themed wyrms was born. The idea/lore of these wyrms being Bakers (similar to Teslas in a way) was devised up by Linden. I can't take all the credit of the idea of these wyrms.
I guess this is a result of a late-night wyrm chat gigglefit.
