Hi there

I'm not good with introductions and am doing my best not to just panic and close the forum tab altogether out of anxiety, but here goes...

My name is Alex, online probably more well known as quoting_mungo, and I'm a nearly 30 year old girl (to be a "woman" or a "lady" you need to grow up, first, and I'm not sure I'm ready to do that ;)) from Sweden. I've adored wyrms pretty much since I first saw them, but I've never managed to be quick enough to snag one during any of the online sales and unfortunately overseas cons aren't really something I can do these days.

I'm pretty timid, and don't like approaching people, but watching HopefulMonster and Sciggles posting new wyrms from the last breeding season and such on Tumblr has kind of... tempted me out of hiding a little bit, at least. I honestly don't know how active I'll manage to be here, but I figured I'd at least try registering, and maybe that'll be what it takes for me to get lucky and get a wyrmy baby of my own.

My house is otherwise ruled by two cats: a ragdoll girl and a huge red brat of a mutt boy affectionately known as "the tiger". I'm just their humble human servant, as every cat owner should be. ;)

Hello and welcome to the forums Quoting!!!

I'm a fellow mod here on these forums! (yellow name!!) and I want to welcome you to this side of crazy!

This whole community is really amazing actually and everyone is super nice and SUPER respectable of everyone here. Never should you ever be worried or scared here (We will seriously cuddle and hug you till you are okay again, virtually that is xD)

I recommend reading up on the whole game and rules (if you haven't done already) to orient yourself with the game (There is a tooooooon of stuff going on here and it can get super overwhelming).

WyrmWiki (information is the best place to start) Here

Forum Rules: Here

If you have any question big or small you can ask it in the chat box on the bottom of the main page (It should be there when your name goes grey) or in the question forum or even PM a mod or staff. (I'm always up for trying my best to help people out!)

Chatboard Info: Here

That being said Welcome once more, glad to see you come into the game and I hope you have a wonderful time!

P.S. You have nooo idea the happy squee I made when you got your first wyrm! Seee you can get a wyrm!! Enjoy the cuute little fluffer!! Very very very cute one!!!

Hello there :3

Be sure to lurk the forums! Everyone is very friendly. Pretty frequently, people post "new handler" sales when trying to sell their squirm. This typically allows newer members to expand their squirm :)

As GT mentioned, everyone is really friendly. If you're interested in setting up a breeding for the Summer Breeding season, just ask if someone would be willing to let you use their wyrms :) I have quite a few and I'm more than happy to share if people ask politely.

You can also try the Pick-Up thread in the Trading Forum. Some handlers offer to pick-up wyrms for people who can't attend cons for various reasons :)

Yes, Scigs, you're a terrible influence and you should feel bad! ;D

Thank you very much for the nice welcomes! I'm still having "OMG NEW PLACE I'M GOING TO DO SOMETHING WRONG" jitters turning my stomach into a squirm of worry-worms, but that'll pass with time. Just par for the course with my dumb social anxiety.

I'm headed out today to see if I can find one of those pretty glassed-in decorative lanterns that might be suitable to make a wyrmy home in, to protect my new little buddy to-come from my larger furry buddies, who like to steal anything small enough to move around. I'm so stupidly excited to have him!

I just wanted to say thanks to the rest of you who stopped by to tell me welcome. :) I know I've not been super talkative here, but from what I've seen of everyone you're all a bunch of lovely supportive people and it's great to see a community so capable of being excited for each other.

Thanks for being awesome, guys!
