Furpocalypse Information Request

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some general information about Furpocalypse based on its predecessor Furfright.

1) Any good places to eat around the convention hotel?

2) Would it be a good convention to go in a first homemade partial? I've only ever had experience with anime conventions, and first costumes can get some toxic comments depending on the convention. In short, is it beginner-suiter friendly? ^^;;

3) Insider tips about the convention center?

I can poke the husbeast,the Google fu is strong with that one. I know there are good places to get tasty noms, just need to ask him, as he is less....."directionarily challenged" than me. (Aka can get lost in a paper bag without a map and GPS)

FurFright was. I saw some very obviously newbie suits, and everyone was friendly and supportive. Actually, FurFright was a first furry con for a lot of furs, myself included. I can't guarantee the new con, since this is the first year and a slightly different staff, but if its like FF, then I don't see why not. Also? Anime cons tend to be.....hmm. A bit less 'beginner friendly' than most fur cons in regards to costuming. I notice a very real sense of elitism at many anime and stream punk gatherings.

Durr hurr, figured I wouldn't make a new question thread and just post in this old one again.

Any information about where D will be seated in Dealer's Room? And is there any sort of mini-meetup planned?

(Also, sadly, Toothless partial will have to wait till Furthemore or AC because grad school applications eating up my life. I'll make a mini Halloween costume for a wyrm instead hopefully.)
