Not much I can add here that hasn't already been said. I am only one person, and had NO expectation for this past winters season being that huge. I've said before, baby comes first, then family, then Wyrms/work. I *am* a mom & wife first and an artist second. That said, with the new setup, breeding seasons should be going MUCH faster. I'm currently hacking through my list of winter standards trying to get them done asap.
(Something I think most people forget is the HUGE difference in size between last summers breeding season and this past winters. More breedings means more time, and to go from 20something to 150....well......even MY hands need a break sometimes....)
I did mention at Furfright that we MAY lift the limit on Wyrms at MFF, IF we end up with the numbers I'm hoping for. But I simply don't know. Its three weeks away, and I'm working my tail off on winter standards and con stock, in addition to caring for a sick toddler and husband. So we'll see what happens.
I AM sorry for any disappointment people feel not being able to get as many Wyrms as they would like, but as I've said before, I'm trying to find a balance of being fair to everyone. It's the reason we started doing a list at conventions, because to be blunt, I'm not at ALL interested in encouraging the grabby-hands "MINE mine mine!!!" mentality in our Handlers. We have an amazing group of really kind, generous, friendly people in the Wyrm community, and THAT is the type of behavior I want to encourage and foster. I cannot express strongly enough how important I think that is, particularly with how nasty and rude the Internet can be.
Look at it this way......even IF we don't raise the limit of teacups per day, going only one day would allow you two teacups, PLUS the ability to snag a mini or standard, should you be so inclined. (The bigger Wyrms don't count towards the daily limit) Two days attending, which you mention being your intent, would net you four teacups, which is honestly a respectable number of Wyrms for a single weekend.
