Hey guys, I figured I would pop a quick post up to give everyone an update on things, and explain my scheduling. I've devised this breakdown to allow me to maximize my work hours, and get the most done, while still allowing for relaxation and "personal/experimental" projects. This is to prevent burnout and allow me some "off" the clock time.
Monday -Friday, from about 10am to 5:30-6pm. - At Grandmas house working on convention stock. Lunch break in afternoon, and once con Wyrms for the day are in the over cooking, I sculpt whatever winter Wyrms heads I have time for before its time to go.
Monday - Friday from 9pm to whenever I can no longer keep my eyes open/stay awake, winter breeding wyrm heads. As groups are finished and I have the bodies sewn and delivered, I will assemble them and package them up to ship out.
I am going to attempt to start doing Tuesdays and Thursdays as stream sculpting sessions. People seem to enjoy it, and it gives me some company at stupid o'clock.
Sat-Sun all day - OFF the Wyrm clock, lol. Weekends are time with the family, and working on personal art / experimental art ideas / random things that will pop up on Etsy or the forums. This enables me to keep a small stream of income for day to day pocket money (see also, Starbucks addiction ;3) supplies I may be running low on, etc. it also helps avoid the feeling that art is Just Work, and gives me some defrag time to do whatever ideas pop into my brain.
So, hopefully this explains things a bit, and lets you all know I AM continuing to work on Wyrms owed, and building up batches for convention stock AND potentially online stock. It seems to strike the best balance between work time and fun time. Will see how it goes and reevaluate in a month or so. Organized D? :shudders: Scary scary. ;D
