So, I love app games. Who doesn't? But all of them have one thing in common. You sit on your butt, poking at keys and buttons, and get slower and more out of shape. Movement is discouraged, because it takes you away from the game/keyboard/etc. Its breeding a generation of sluggish couch loafs who sit around and stare at a screen all day, epitomizing Weird Al's new song, Inactive.

.....but what if there was an app game that was different? One that REQUIRED you to get up off your butt, walk, discover cool new things about your town or city that maybe you never knew, AND allowed you to be a part of a giant worldwide game, connected to people from all over the planet?


My husbeast poked me with an invite to this, and I've got to say, I'm absolutely hooked.

Check it out. Its fun, physical, and leads to exploring the world and you. Even if that world goes no further than your hometown.

Sounded neat and was going to try it out, but alas I cannot. My iOS can't be updated further than 6.1.6 because I have an iphone 3. :'D

A friend of mine used to do this all the time, and I was pretty interested then, but it was only available on the Android platform. Glad to see it's made the jump to iOS!
