Behavior
Nixies can be very hostile around handlers they do not know and tend to take some time to become comfortable. Even comfortable, they can tend to only interact on their terms but once you gain the trust of a Nixie, they will be a great addition to your squirm. They'll go from nipping at you like a growler to almost never leaving your side, ready to nip those they don't want around their handler. This behavior is believed to come from the amount of dark magic in the world so trusting comes hard to the Nixie. A Nixie that trusts their handlers are said to bring good luck to said handler.
Mating Habits
Nixies will try to whoo their potential mate with polished up trinkets, bobbles, stones, etc. When there are more than one fighting for the same mate, they usually compete by collecting more shinies and puffing up. Rarely do they get violent when competing against other Nixie but can become violent competing against other species. Omega Nixies will have a tendency to collect a whole lot of shinies to try and compensate.
Nixies are VERY sensitive to dark fae magic, breeding them together is frowned upon GREATLY.
