APPROVED - Paradise Estates - Einhorn Wyrm Project

Okay so I've been batting this idea around for a little bit, but I'd really like to create a classical unicorn-like wyrm breed. :9 Help/breedings would be appreciated and I think the traits are common enough that finding breedings won't be too hard, just...got a lot of them to fit together just so. This post will get updated as I add things to it, so here goes:

Breed Profile:
The Einhorn wyrms are elusive and solitary forest dwellers, easily startled by sharp noises or the presence of more aggressive wyrms, using their leaf plating and coloration as camouflage. It takes a gentle and patient touch to tame and befriend an Einhorn, but they are loyal and protective wyrms once their trust is gained. Their bravery often overshadows their instinctive shyness when their loved ones are threatened.

Breed Description/Standard:
The standard Einhorn wyrm would have a medium to long face that is a cross between a Leaf Crawler and Moss Hoarder, with beard, round nostrils, and leaf plating. An Einhorn should also have a single spiraled horn, and small or medium ears. All horn colors are acceptable, with silver and gold being most desirable among the standard type. Most desirable colors are dilutes, but all colors are acceptable. Alphas should be at least two colors, with either a part-colored body (like Rarittie) or a contrasting neck ruff, and may exhibit a larger-than-normal pearl or metallic horn.

Required Traits:
(gene) Horn (single, straight) - can be gold/silver, white, or black (least desirable)
(gene) Ears, small preferred
(phenotype) Chin beard, "horsey" nose with round nostrils (not slits or pointy)
(phenotype) Leaf plating and eye dots

Desirable but optional traits:
(mutation) Ruff or two-tone body mutation like Zillas, for "mane" effect
(gene) Dilute
(phenotype) Marbled leaf plating
Any general wyrm traits (benign white, frost, pitch black, dapple, etc. marked as "Any" on the wiki) are permissible, although Pitch Black is less desirable.

Denied Traits:
More than one horn
Beaky/pointed face
Feline nose
XL ears or FL ears (donkeycorns are not Einhorns)

Omega Traits:
Horn very small or lacking spiral.

Alpha Traits:
Alpha horns are bigger than average and are pearly, metallic, or sparkly. Expanded leaf plating with vines, similar to alpha Leaf Crawlers. Two-tone neck ruff, similar to Rarittie or the Zillas, or alpha Qui.

That'd be great! Would you like to be added to the contributor list?

And yes, I think the Qui-Lin and Horned Wood Borer noses are good noses. :D

Cute art and love the project! The featherbum gene is plume, like in plumed gem hunters.

Ahhh, thanks and good point. I might make that be an optional bit since I'm already kind of combining a lot of different wyrm genes here...but it's so cute. <XD

You could grab a plume off several types if you really wanted to look into it. I'd suggest getting an offspring who carries it XX with a trait charm and then breeding it into the lines you'll create for the farm project. That way a normally weak trait can still get passed on.

This is completely adorable, and I'm itching to sculpt it, lol!
If you get your color palette set, and list what breed you'll be using as base stock for the traits, you will be all set and approved in time for summer/fall season!

Also as an FYI the standards all tend to get a bit of tail fluff so long as I have colors that would work for them, but if you want it as an official listed Trait guaranteed on the babies then yes, you'd have to breed for it. If you don't care about it being optional though, don't drive yourself crazy.

Ahh, good point. Thanks for that, and yeah I haven't seen all the new type changes yet.

That would be fantastic! :D Hmm...I wonder if a cross between a Qui-lin and a Wood Borer might end up with a gold spiral horn? <3
