We are all born with the fear of the dark. As we grow older we forget or outgrow this fear. But for many this fear is very real, there are monsters in the dark, there are pixies under our beds, boogie men in our closets, and tooth fairy isn't a nice fairy in some stories.
In wyrm colonies the fear of the dark is very real, for there are bigger wyrms that would eat smaller ones in a heart beat. As well as various predators out there that would easily make a meal out of a stray wyrm wandering about at night.
Thus the Nightlights appeared, a breed of fairy wyrm that began guarding wyrm colonies, they appeared at dusk and stayed till dawn, providing comfort and security by shedding light upon the dark. Their fairy magic was in their lures which they used to chase off or banish scary things.
And thus they became a close friend to young handlers who where quite fearful of the dark, They are brave little wyrms flying about to shed light upon the dark. Their glow leads the way, and their glowing lure removes any fear other wyrms or handlers may have. Their lightweight wings allow thing to fly about unnoticed by larger wyrms.
However, they have vanished. It is rumored that they where chased away by the rumored to exist Nightmare wyrms. However, one cannot exist without the other, Nightlights upon their disappearance left behind trinkets that would help others keep the Nightmares at bay so they could return.
They left behind dreamcacthers, and now the Nightlights are coming back to stop the nightmares from hurting those they exist to protect.
* They are last known to exist in teacup size, but rumors held that larger ones existed at one point.

Crinkler wings xX or XX (for flight and to keep them in the fairy family)
Lure xX or XX (this is where their magic is, and glowing light!)
Underbite xX or XX (To give them their fierce appearance)
~IDEAL BUT NOT REQUIRED, HEARTMATES AND ALPHAS MUST CARRY THIS : Glow xx or XX (heads must GLOW to some degree)
Traits that CANNOT be carried / on Nightlights
Horns
PITCH BLACK ( This carries and causes Nightmares, the wyrms that drove them away - caused Nightlights to vanish, any Nightlight that holds this gene is considered corrupted by darkness)
Traits etc that are acceptable
Lace
Various colorings and markings are fine
Body can be any color or patterning
current breeding goals
1. Attach the glow trait to as many angler eels and crinklers as possible / produce offspring that carry the crinkler wing type and angelr eel underbite and lure.
2. increase the crinkler wing trait onto angler eels
