Breed Info
Originally a tropical breed, Pollen Hoppers can be found anywhere with lush greenery or thriving gardens. In fact, they may be the reason for it.

These wyrms are pollinators and collect pollen, spores, and seeds in their fur and tufts as they move from plant to plant. They eat pest insects as well as nectar, using their long tongues, and can sometimes even be caught at a hummingbird feeder. They are very friendly little creatures and many gardeners and farmers find it a delight to have a squirm of these wyrms nearby, despite their potential to cause seasonal allergies to act up!

Though they cannot fly, Pollen Hoppers are capable of jumping great distances despite their small size, enabling them to reach almost any plant they wish to and to avoid predators. Their other natural defense is a by-product of their pollen collecting. If cornered, a Pollen Hopper will puff out and shake its fur, sending up a cloud of its own unique "toxin". This so-called toxin is far from deadly though. Instead when inhaled, ingested, or left on skin to long it causes a strong synesthesia like effect, causing the predator to become disoriented and allowing the wyrm to escape.
