About Swirly Puffs
Swirly Puffs are a very friendly breed of wyrm. They love approaching humans for head scratches and playing with shiny objects they can bat around, particularly their food which since they are crystal wyrms is usually some sort of gemstone. The gems on their heads susually will tell you what their favorite type of food is. Swirly Puffs live in gem mines where they can get loved on by the miners and have an easy hunt for food from the rubble the miners knock down (or toss the wyrms way when the boss isn’t looking. It may not seem like having a fluffy tail is practical in a mine, but keeping a clean and well groomed tail is actually a very attractive quality when Swirly Puffs are looking for a mate.

Alpha Puffs
Alphas all have hetero as it is believed the different color eye gives them an advantage when seeking out gems. The contrast between the swirls and coat color is high as well.
Double gems since having a higher ability to find gems exposes them to be able to like more foods
Extra plumage coming out of their ears and larger plumes on their tails. Since it easier to find food they have more time to groom these plumes.

Omega Puff
Omegas have one color eyes and their coat colors and swirl colors tend to be very similar and sometimes hard to spot the swirl on their face at all
Their plumes are very small since they do not get very much nutrition.

Leidy, this is an ADORABLE concept (:shakes fist at Year:) and I think they would be a really cute Breed. The one warning I will give is that I think adding in the Resplendant Fantail tail plume is going to add a LOT more work and trouble for you. A thing to keep in mind is that there are quite a lot of non card genetic traits that will influence the look of the baby. For example the RFT's have a head crest of feathers, but they also have longer faces and entirely different muzzles. Then there's the eye dots, different crystal layout, etc.....
It's something other farms have discovered as they breed for their projects. A perfect example is Tyrrlins Gryphon Wyrms. She had some babies with perfect bird beaks, and some that had a combo of feline and avian noses. It's things like that, NON card traits having to do with physical appearance, that cannot be trait tokened, that make having 3 and more foundation breeds in your project a tad tricksy.

That said, if you want to keep the Fantail Plume, go for it! I just wanted to give a heads up that it might be something you have to spend some time breeding OUT all the other traits.
Also, the updated Swirl snouts can now have their face swirl anywhere on their face, so they won't necessarily end up in the middle of the face like that, that's the older style Swirls.

Thank you, I did think about how the non card traits would play in. I realize it's going to take a lot of work but I think there will be a lot of cute progress babies, I never tend to go with an easy project. I tend think about the double gems and having the different gem set up I actually included in the alpha traits. My understanding is that if a wyrm has all of those it's an alpha but it's ok to have an alpha trait or two and not be an alpha. Is there another breed that you would suggest that has that fluffy tail? Cause that is the essential Puff in the Swirly puffs.

Swirls are fine all over the face! I do prefer the ones in the center as a personal aesthetic choice but they'd be cute with around the eyes just on the nose what ever as long as they are swirly! Do I need to ask Year to redo them to reflect that? We did it this way just to represent that hey swirls are needed.

Is there anything else I need to do to be approved?

Hmm. Well if you don't mind having to breed out unwanted traits then Fantails might work. The PGH and Fus are the others with Plume, and those have even more things you'd have to breed out, so at least Fantails have the crystals you want.
