1) A growler.
2) Something soft and comforting color wise.
3) Glow, to help chase off darkness and negativity.
There was an odd hush that fell over the clearing when the handlers and their squirms were left standing in front of the tree. Then the excited chattering began. For the most part, I remained quiet, head tilting in thought as I looked up at the tree.
Not all of my squirm had come on this little journey, but from my hood I heard the soft little noises of a certain fluff who had been with me for years. His nose peeked out before he squiggled his way up onto my shoulder and took his turn peering at the new tree. "What do you think, Honey?" I inquire to him quietly as other handers take their turn making their wish.
His severely torn ear perks up as he squiggles his way down my arm to my hand, then he looks back up at me with bright eyes. His fur floofs up and I smile back at him, nodding slowly. "Yeah...not a bad idea. Would be good for us both." His body floofs again and be gives a happy little growl and the softest of bites to my palm. I know we understand one another. More soft growls erupt from my hood as his adoptive twin sisters peek out, as well as another soft girl who had joined their family. They watched out for him, a happy little unit. Honey gave another soft growl and squiggled back up into the warm safety of my hood.
I smile and shake my head, slowly stepping before the tree when the chance arrives. I place my fingers against it, feeling the soft thrum of magic that ran through it. "Duir, if you're listening, I have one wish, from all our hearts..."
I felt really inspired to write this out after I made the initial post. Figured it would be fun since it's the lore keepers Glade. If this is too much and you'd prefer a clean thread, let me know and I'll delete the little story! <3
