OK, stepping in to try and prevent the sort of issues we've had before. My official advice is-

Keep track of the number of days since PayPal payment was made. There is a limit to how long you have to issue chargebacks.

Keep any and all correspondence that proves you paid for the item, and any communication with the seller to prove they admit it has not been sent yet/will be sent soon.

If it starts getting close to the charge back deadline & you have not received your item/a tracking number to prove it's been sent out, the seller is not returning your communications, Open A Claim With Paypal.

If a seller is requesting you pay with Family & Friends, report them to myself or Zia through PMs. This is NOT allowed, and offers the buyer NO protection should the seller run off with your money.

Be safe, be smart, and use common sense when buying! We want the forums to be a fun, safe community for every one to enjoy.

When in doubt, please refer to this rules page as well:
http://cruinndracfarms.com/wyrmwiki/ind ... s_2FTrades

This outlines all the rules and guidelines for selling items on the forums.

Just remember, sales between handlers are done at your own risk. While we can penalize players who are deadbeat buyers/sellers with in-game penalties or bans, we are not responsible for lost Wyrms or money so it is each individual's responsibility to keep track of paypal payment dates and issue chargebacks or file missing item reports during the appropriate time frame.

Thanks!

Oh, do you folks mind if I add something here? Advice to any potential sellers, insure your packages. Always. Not just for the wyrm game. Either make sure to add to your shipping charge for it, or in other non-wyrmy venues, you can factor it into the cost of whatever you’re selling.

Especially if you accept payments through Paypal, insurance is far more for the seller’s protection than the buyer’s, because it’s easy for a buyer to file a claim if the item you’re selling doesn’t show up in the condition you described. Being able to at least get financially reimbursed for a damaged/stolen/lost item is far, far better than being out both money and whatever you sent, and it's fairly inexpensive for the amount you insure for. IIRC Priority Mail packages are now automatically insured for up to $50, but if you ship something small and lightweight and opt to do it via 1st Class, or if your package's total value is more than $50, INSURE!

Also you can use a service like https://u-pic.com/ that provides cheaper parcel insurance rates. I've used them before (and had to file a claim through them) and their filing process was a lot better than when I've had to go through the USPS.

PLEASE NOTE!!

Hopeful Monster:
Because of issues with handlers *Not Reading Or Following Instructions*, I am making this a hard and fast rule. Going forward, any Handler not fully reading and following instructions for any CDF sales/auction/contest post will have whatever payment was sent refunded, and the item or prize they were eligible for reposted. I'm not trying to be Miss Meany McMeanypants. But with the Wyrm game's growth I have a LOT of transactions in my paypal. If I ask for info in the paypal notes about what the payment is for, or who your Handler name is, it's to help me keep track of payments. So please, Read all posts fully! Otherwise you stand to miss out on what's up for grabs.
