Verifying Qui Color Question

With color bodied Qui-Lin's how likely is the chance that their colored bodies will NOT be passed on to their offspring. I'm trying to collect the rainbow of colored bodies and I need to know if it's worth it to risk not using a trait charm on every breeding?
If possible for both colored bodied x white bodied and colored bodied x colored bodied.
I hope that all makes sense ^^;

I dont know the actual body color chances granted one or both parents have the mutation but if you want to save yourself time and money, using the trait charm for the body color would be key. And this is if it's a gene you can trait for!
I hope this helps a bit

I'm not sure. . My white qui to my color Qui for white bodies so the mutation might be rescessive to the white gene
Colored body to color body did make colored bodies though

When I was talking about coloured bodies earlier (for my coloured body angler project) it was mentioned to me that both parents having coloured bodies would likely make it so the kid has it.
I know when I bred Koro with Mesmer, despite Koro having a coloured body both of the kids with Mesmer ended up with black bodies. So I would imagine the coloured body is likely recessive or the equivalent of xx which would need both parents to have it or a trait charm or a lot of luck. XD

Okay so it's safe to assume that white x colored = white so colored is recessive.
I just need to figure out what the chance of getting colored x colored = white. I just need to figure out if that means that every breeding I want to do will require the trait charm for choosing colored bodied as well as color charm to pick the color once I get down to the remaining few colors I need.

I can tell you that you will likely not get a definitive answer from D or Zia
Last time I asked about a mutation like that Zia said she cannot tell me percentages

I thought, though I could be making this up, that by using a color token you could not only choose any of the posilbe the red/blue/yellow combinations but also whether or not the colored body gets passed on if one or more of the parents has it. D or Zia, can you confirm or deny this?

I'm not sure if color choice is for the plating, the body, or both?
Which also prompts the question, can Qui-Lin's have different colored plating from their bodies? Other than white and a colored plating of course.

The plating color is the body color
Im sure the mutation would be determined by a trait charm and color by a color charm
Not 100% on these but 98%.. needs confirmation by Zia or D

The color of the Wyrm in body colored individuals is /usually/ matches some other color on the Wyrm, even if they are genetically black. You can use a 'TRAIT' token to guarantee body color if at least one parent has it. You can use a 'COLOR' token to choose what color the markings/body are, even in individuals who are genetically white or black by default. (Tatterwings, Gao-Xings).
