Hello!
I'm pretty new to wyrms. I've being seeing them around occationally and I finally decided to take a look to see what they are.
I must say, they're quite cute and fuzzy.

So, a little about me.
I go by the name Shinsetsu in many places as it is my furry-fandom/fursona name, alternitevly I go by the name PixelEgg for game realated stuff.
I like to collect things, which is probably why I got interested in wyrms along with the fact I love little fuzzy things.
I love fantasy themes and I'm pretty nerdy/geeky.

This seems like a nice forum and I hope I get chat with a few people and get my own wyrm at some point!

Heyo!

Welcome to the madness!

It's a pretty fun place and I hope you get a wyrm soon! There is a convention this weekend in Chicago where there will be some sold, but if one cannot make it, next Friday (black friday) there are going to be wyrms posted up for sale all throughout the day so there will be chances to get one then.

And if not, many folks here are super friendly and would be happy to set up a breeding come winter breeding season (So far that is looking to be after Christmas) so you can get a wyrm that way. If you have any questions, please ask! I know most folks here are super nice and would be happy to walk you through various steps. :)

I'll probably end up getting one from the winter breeding season.
I read though the breeding information and I have a general idea of what to do. From what I know, I can ask permission from two current wyrm owners so I can get my own.

That's right! Just send the two handlers a frienly note about who you want to breed and when.

Yep! That's pretty much how it goes. :)

A lot of folks will make a personal thread in the breeding section of the forums so they can keep easy track of their plans. But once you find a combination of wyrms you would like to do a breeding, usually you can ask the owners for approval. There are some that are a bit trickier like if they only have a couple breedings (the rare ones usually only get 2 breedings so their owners tend to be cautious about breedings unless you have a +1 charm) and some folks have personal plans or preferences so may decline, but most folks are pretty approachable. :)

Do you have any idea of what kind of wyrm you are hoping to get this winter? A purebred one or a hybrid one? Any potential parents have caught your eye already? :D

There are a few which have caught my eye!
I'm kinda hoping I can get a marine wyrm of either a bright darter, spiny puffer or spiny sand sifter (which I noticed where all uncommon). :D
Ilargia and Ciino are pretty cute, but I'll be choosing what exsacly I would like and also keeping options open because there's no gureente.

Marine wyrms are the best wyrms...in my opinion. XD I may be biased though!

I know there are a few of us who are pretty nutty for the marine types so I expect it would be very possible to get a darter or puffer or sand sifter. Just be sure to check the wiki handler pages to see if they're someone who is ok with being contacted. :)

All in all there's a bit of time. I think right now most folks are excited about seeing which wyrms may end up showing up in the next week or so due to MFF and the black friday sale. But after that, odds are people will be making plans for winter breeding. XD

:D Yay a fellow spiny puffer lover!
They're relatively easy to get breedings from. I have a baby from Asana x Ciino from summer that'll add to the population and so does Shy.
