The Magical Xmas CS-Wyrm-Brit meetup.

So on a spur of the moment decision between some of us fellow handlers, we decided it'd be neat to get together around xmas in Birmingham which is relaitvely easy to get to for a few of us.
I'll update this thread with more info for everyone so patience please.
Meetup info:-
- Prospective meetup date: 21st December 2013
- Time: Prospective time currently 11am start until sometime mid-afternoon (maybe 4pm at the latest), few hrs should be good enough to have a good mooch around!
- Location: Bullring Shopping Center, Birmingham [Either outside by the Bull Statue or indoors if it's bloody freezing :U]
- Theme: Silly Hats. Wear an unusual/cool hat so we can identify the group!
Other Info:
- It's nearly Christmas, so this weekend will be VERY busy with people because it's the city center. Please bear this in mind if you want to make arrangements to attend.
- The Birmingham German Christmas Market will be on! This will be the last chance to see it before it closes on Decmber 22nd. The market runs from 10am to 9pm.
- I completely understand that some of our willing meetup members are young adults, and if your parents are uncomfortable with you coming alone then it is more than ok for them to come along! If it's any peace of mind, myself and my husband will be travelling with the group at all times so that everyone is accounted for. If parents want to come along with us that is completely ok as well and very understandable, I just hope we won't bore you with our wyrmness and shopping xD.
Safety rules and regulations:
- Contact: Emergency contact will be made via Skype / Phone. I currently (obviously) do not posess a UK mobile number but if people's parents wish to have my husband's (belgian) phonenumber [smartphone, can access internet/skype] to call just incase it won't be a problem. Ask on skype for this info. I am told that there should be various wifi spots within the Bullring Shopping Center, we will try to access those in an emergency. [Some phone company stores as well as Starbucks will probably have wifi spots open for use]
- Missing members: If for any reason you get seperated from the group in a store, the meetup spot will be back at the entrance of the store. We will check everyone is together before leaving a store. If for any reason you get lost out on the street, our re-meet spot will be back at the Bullring again. This is very unlikely to happen but I mention it purely for your peace of mind.
- Valuables: Please contain all your valuables in a safe and secure way. If you have a backpack/bag please make sure it is safely secure at regular intervals. Also do this if you are bringing wyrms, we don't want any lost/damaged babies. Keep a close eye on your money that you bring as well, make sure you know where it is at all times.
- If for any reason there is some terrible mishap/hinderance/stopper on the meetup plans, such as the weather delaying/stopping traffic.. or there being some change in plans for myself and husband (not likely) we will post here or message the skype group to let everyone know. If you have any issue with attending on the day, feel free to contact us this way or via the contact phonenumber we can give.
- At all times please be mindful of the group members, any disputes within the group (as if they would happen) we will try to calmly resolve. Please present yourself in a way that shows respect for those around you and represents the good manner of CS and Wyrm members alike.
Activities:
- It's almost Christmas! If you have last-minute buys to do, this is your chance. We can go into the plentiful stores in the city center in the Bullring or along the Main Street, there's tons to see!
- If you need to buy something/go somewhere specific, bring it up! We can all go there as a group! Even if it's buying christmas pyjamas with reindeer all over!
- We will probably aim to go to Starbucks at some point to have a sit down and a cup of cocoa/whatever you want to drink. If you want to bring your own food, do so! If you get hungry at any time, be prepared to satisfy your senses and halt your hunger with any of the bountiful stores and stalls around town. There's fastfood places, stalls, and much more!
- And of course, Wyrms! Bring your wyrms to get to know one another! We will probably take the sit-down opportunity as the chance to get wyrms out to meet, so if it ain't in a Starbucks it'll be somewhere else warm and cosy. I'm hopeful there will be somewhere indoors for that, either inside the Bullring or perhaps in Waterstones book store, there may be seating in those places for us to settle somehow! We will manage =D

Travel information:
- Train: New Street Station is probably the easiest route in via train since it's a large station. There should be easy directions here or via query to a station attendant to get to the Bullring. Or if you go to Moor Street Station, which is closer, and only a short walk from there to the Bullring as you literally cross the road and head into the center. Googlemaps can help you if needs be!
- Bus: There are a number of buses going into the city center, though I think myself and hubby will be the only ones going via bus as it's easier xD
- Car: There should be various car-parks open around the city center for you to park at. I wish I could detail that better but I don't drive! Maybe this will help!

I believe they may be organising a London one early next year, a lot of you will find that easier so I hope you can all get that one together!
