Since FurFright's no longer around, there's one that's taking it's place, called Furpocalypse:

http://www.furpocalypse.org

The Dealer's room is being juried, so I'm not sure if that con might be an option for you guys or not...but just figured I'd put it here, to let you know about it :)

There are also apparently two more furry cons that happening in the Boston area:

Maltese Fur Con: http://www.maltesefurcon.com/ August 1-3, 2014

and

Anthro New England: http://www.anthronewengland.org/ Although this is happening in 2015

Yeah, we're looking into furpocolypse, they open dealer signups on the 31st, so if I get space I'll be there, since its super close.

The others are definitely worth looking into the hubby came across info for anthro NE this past weekend and told me about it, so that might be one to check out. Thanks!

Well guys, unfortunately it looks like MFF is a no go for us this year. Just got the email that I've been wait listed, and in my experience that usually means no table. I could be incredibly lucky and something might open up, but as of right now I'm not planning on attending MFF in 2014. Sorry, maybe next year. :(

While it's definitely a bummer, does this open the possibility for another Home Con?

Mmmmm....I don't want to promise anything yet, since its a good possibility that we use that time to 'stockpile' Wyrms for 2015 conventions (including Homecon! ;D) and build in some breathing room. Remember Winter breeding season would be happening not far after MFF, so it might not be a horrible idea to use it as a blessing and clear away backlog, do some pre-prep for the 2015 con season and breeding season (OMG ALL the tiny little teacups horns, Halp) and get ready to kick butt and take names in improving our turnaround times. Heck, I MIGHT even be able to actually chip into the waiting list for commissions a tiny bit, OMG. People have been patiently waiting foreeeever on the darn thing.

I think this is a better idea then homecon. I think it would be nice if you had time to stock up for next years con season so that maybe DURING con season you could rest a little teeny tiny bit

Seconded. Giving yourself breathing room, and some backstock in case of emergencies, is a good idea.

I really enjoyed having you, Brenda and Heather as my roomies at MFF last year. I really hope you both can go again this year.

Selfishly, I would rather you come to MFF.

Well, either way, I hope you can get a mini vacation at some point.
