SUMMER-ish BREEDING SEASON - SOON (tm)

Alright ladies and gentlemen.

The last information I have from our esteemed HopefulMonster is that tea-cups are nearly done for Winter. Standards are still going to take a bit longer, but we should have pre-view pictures of the tea-cups available for people to see on Monday. In addition to the preview images, we will also have genders rolled and we will provide traits to anyone who wants to breed their new babies right away.

The Summer Breeding Season will officially open at 1pm EST (12pm CST aka. Noon-ish) on Tuesday, September 24th. It will run for two weeks from September 24th-October 8th, or until all slots are taken. It is HIGHLY likely that we will close early due to slots being full. Once the slots are full, we will take an additional 5 waiting list reservations, which will only be used if someone does not pay the deposit on their Wyrms. Please submit your requests as soon as you can. We cannot guarantee slots will be available for everyone who wants to breed Wyrms, but there will be a significantly lesser wait until the Winter Season.

SLOTS:
  1. 10 Standard Wyrm Slots (1 per person MAX)
  2. 100 Tea-Cup Wyrm/Wyvern/Fetus Jar/Mini/etc. Slots (3 per person MAX)
  3. There will be additional FARM slots available to any APPROVED breeding Farms (only those listed as Approved on the forums). Each Farm may request 1 breeding, with up to two clutchmates. These are only available to members of the Farm that are noted in their information. These slots are separate from that person's regular breedings.

A pre-open will start on 1pm EST (12pm CST) on Sunday September 22nd for individuals who are approving people to use their Wyrms ONLY. No breeding requests will be taken during this time period. This is only being offered as a way of speeding things up, and so that people who are just letting others use their Wyrms have more time to get in their 'okays' before things open. Any breeding-requests submitted during this time will be DELETED and will need to be re-submitted once the season officially opens.

Due to the length of time it took for the previous batch of Wyrms, and us still finishing up standards, we are only asking that people provide a DEPOSIT for their Summer Breedings to reserve their slots. A deposit is equal to 50% of your purchase and is NON-REFUNDABLE. The remainder of your purchase + shipping will be paid once the Wyrms are completed and ready to be sent out.

This season we will be doing things a bit of a different way, with payments. You will provide us your shipping address on the form, and your paypal address/e-mail address. We will then send you a bill for your Wyrms through paypal. You can then pay for your invoice by paypal, credit card, or debit card. We will then send an additional, final invoice for the remainder of your payment +shipping (calculated based on your address) when your Wyrms are ready to come home.

In addition, we now require that anyone under the age of 18 provide us with contact information for their parent/guardian so that we may send their parent/guardian a copy of our terms of service and detailed information about the purchase that their child is making. Purchases from child handlers will not be approved without the consent of a parent/guardian. A copy of our Terms of Service will also be included with each invoice.

At work, so I can't take long, but I'll edit my comment later.

Right now, I don't know how to feel. I need to think about this for a while before I comment further.

Questions about how the breeding process works, or anything I didn't specifically cover are fine.

Commentary about how/why it's working a specific way may be best sent directly to HopefulMonster.
She's decided on the timing/process of things, so better to talk to her in private than on the forums.

Scig, season doesn't technically start till Tuesday, so you should be fine. :3

Also, addendum to the announcement, to clarify why we chose to start the season when we are....

PLEASE NOTE!!! My goal had been to not post Summer Season openings until all Winter Wyrms were done and out. A few circumstances made this slight overlap necessary, the primary of which is the "promotion" of one of our Sculpting Assistants to Head TeacupMaker. Sciggles has kindly agreed to help not only with Teacup sculpting, but painting and assembly, which should help alleviate the backup during con season and breeding seasons. Her on site training session is scheduled during the week of Summer Season, hence us bumping it up. I can promise that I will be working full steam on the remaining Standards during that week, and getting them out post haste, along with all of the Teacup Wyrms. The goal is for this overlap to help us get caught up, and streamline the future Breeding Seasons.

Anyone with any questions or concerns is more than welcome to contact me. I can be reached via my email, hopefulmonsterstudios@gmail.com

As always, thanks for all your patience and understanding as we learn and grow with the game.

One quick note:

Farm breedings /MUST/ be working towards your Farm's goal.
You cannot use them to repopulate species, or create pure-breds.
You /MUST/ be actually breeding Wyrms together that have your desired traits and are part of your program.

Omgomgomg! My first breeding season! 8U *is excited*

And now I have a bushel of questions!

So a friend and I were planning on breeding our wyrms together hopefully. What is the best (and most convenient for you guys) way to prepare for submitting? I am expecting one of the reasons for the pre-open is because it helps keep anyone from going "oh yeah. My wyrm and this one person's wyrm are totally set to breed. Totally." when in reality the other side had no plans to do so at all. So will it be one side request for a slot, the other side gets contacted to make sure it is ok, then things move forward? Do you need to have a thread in the breed plan or stud/brood to submit a request?

ohmanohmanohman....BEBES! :U

Okay, so since I'm using Shy's wyrms for a breeding where she doesn't get the babies, just me, she would go on Sunday and pre approve or would I just go on and say she had? *had had a day full of energetic five year old and several rounds of '400 questions, so brain not work*
