Tesla Announcements
Posted: Mon Apr 29, 2013 1:55:53 pmDuring a recent livestream session, HopefulMonster has confirmed that Teslas will be returning to Anime Boston for 2013. She plans on including a couple of new types of Teslas, and has given one teaser with the name 'Scrapmetal' Tesla. She plans on having Teslas of both Tea-Cup and Standard sizes at least in order to help supplement the population. No word yet on just how many will be going, but hopefully this will help you prospective Tesla breeders who have been looking for some new breeding stock.
In addition to this, a recent discussion on the forums lead us to discussing Teslas and we have a new announcement to make concerning this type (and this type only). Teslas will now be able to breed, regardless of Species/Size do to the fact that they don't so much breed offspring, as they 'build' them out of parts. However, they are only able to produce offspring that are the Species of the largest parent, or one smaller.
Example:
Tea-Cup x Great Wyrm can produce... Standard, or Great Wyrm sized offspring.
Standard x Great Wyrm can produce ... Standard or Great Wyrm sized offspring.
Tea-Cup x Standard can produce ... Tea-Cup or Standard
Tea-Cup x Tea-Cup can produce ... Tea-Cup
Also, please note that any time you breed 'down' in size, that the offspring will be simplified. Obviously, a Tea-Cup won't have the detail level of a Standard, and a Standard won't have the detail level of a Great Wyrm. Some traits only begin to show at the larger sizes.
Also, these special rules ONLY apply to Teslas. All other living breeds still work under the normal rules.
