Resplendent Fan Tails......Last Chance!
Posted: Mon Apr 29, 2013 12:11:50 pmAs many of you know, I was lucky enough to be able to adopt a mated pair of teacup Resplendant Fan Tails at FTM a few weeks ago. They are rares, and only have two breedings each.
As there are not many purebred RFTs out there in the general population, I feel it is important that more of them get bred and adopted out.
I want to breed Geode (the male) to Crystalynn (the female) during the Summer Breeding Season. I have promised YearofDragon one of the offspring from this mating (assuming she still wants it, and can afford it with the plans she already has.)
That leaves one clutchmate up for grabs. Several people have already contacted me about this. I was undecided as to whether I wanted to keep the other baby or let it go out into the world.
I decided that since I have two already, I did not want to be greedy and keep another one.
But, since everyone here is my friend, how do I pick a handler for the second baby RFT? I want to be fair and give everyone a chance at this rare wyrm.
Here's what I will do:
I will do a contest for the second baby from the Summer breeding of Geode and Crystalynn. It is open to everyone. (Except Year!) The only caveat is that the handler has to breed the new wyrm sometime in the future and let at least one baby from each clutch go out into the world, rather than keep both for him/herself.(I have no way of in forcing this of course. I can only ask...)
The rules are simple: I will take the name of every person who wants to enter and put it into a hat. My husband will draw a name from the hat. The person who wins must agree to send the appropriate adoption and shipping fees to HopefulMonster during the Summer breeding season sign up period.
If YearofDragon does not want the first baby then I will draw two names. (Year, let me know!)
I will collect names until May 25th.
