Wyrm data and symbol question.

I noticed something while having a sticky beak at some of the new con wyrms. On Doorstop's (YearofDragon's growler) wiki page it says he's an "Omega" of his breed. What is that?
And some of the bred winter babies and con wyrms have symbolism on their data cards I haven't seen before. I'm curious to know what it all means ^^

well, Door is an omega, Meaning he's the absolute worst growler ever X3
all kidding aside, Omega wyrms are supposed to bee poor representations of the breed. For exaple, Door has a short snout, tiny ears, no markings, and a very submissive stance C:

but there are also Alpha wyrms that are the opposite. dronble and Gretchen they have highly favourable traits for their breeds. They arent as perfect as the heartmate babies, but theyre pretty high up there C:

as well as the symbols, each one means a different mutation of sorts, including but not limited to ususual fur colours, coloured eyes, melanism, albinism, colour splits, and more! But i wont ruin the fun by telling you exactly what symbol matches each hidden trait! X3

Year is spot on here.

Alphas and Omegas were added this year to represent ideals of their breed, or worst of breed respectively. Heartmates are still one step above Alphas, so they will have 'perfect' appearance for the breed.

As for the other color codes, there's a little blurb on the FAQ about it:
http://twilightdays.org/wyrmwiki/index. ... or_code.3F

As part of a recent upgrade to the data cards, some Wyrms may now have little symbols next to their color codes. What are they? The simple answer is: These represent some hidden feature of the Wyrm that isn't represented by it's Physical Features list. Just what the symbols mean, and how you can breed for these hidden features is up to a keen eye, and handler experimentation.
