Kissing cousins?

This may have been answered before, but whats the ruling on breeding wyrms that are related?

I don't think I would be comfortable breeding parents with offspring, or direct siblings personally. But Is there a ruling on it? When does it become ok? 1st cousins? 2nd? aunts/uncles, ect. I'm trying to plan a personal breeding project and I want to be clear on this before I start :)

This may work out like it does in the animal kingdom, where -inbreeding- has been used to produce very specific genetic traits, mostly seen in cattle breeding.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inbreeding#section_3

But as wyrms are -dragons-lizards- it may not really affect them at all.

The way I see it, parents with their direct offspring would produce some undesirable effects, as would direct siblings. Offspring with ONE parent in common, but not both, should be fine, if that makes sense?

Sounds good, BTW. :-)

Oh! Like with the percentage chance of health-mutations in genetics. The closer the relation the higher the chance of problems, but the further apart the relation (genetic wise) the chances get lower.

I.e. offspring of parent/child and siblings tend to have a higher chance of being born with some kind of birth defect or disorder, mental or psychical.

Hmm, that might just encourage people to try more inbreeding to find neat traits XD
