Geyser Project

What is a Geyser?

{Shifting into appreance}

Geysers (Guy-zers) earn there name from loving to be around geysers( A hot spring in which water intermittently boils, sending a tall column of water and steam into the air..ex.).There coat usually cotains natrual colors such as white,black,gray,black,blonde,and orange,yellow and pink in some cases.Geysers to live in warm or hot areas.As they tend to dislike cold areas.Geysers in cold areas will refuse to go out in the cold but stay indoors.Geysers males are able to grow any type of horn(s) usually.But the only colors for horns for males are grey and black.ALL,males grow horns as females cannot grow horns.Males may have bigger plating than females,but in few cases females have bigger plating than males.ALL Geysers have a small or big swirl on their cheek.It can be soo small that you can barely see it or it can be very huge.They tend to be slimer than other wyrms.

{Walking into Habitat}

Geysers have very hard time adjusting to cold weathers.They are very fond of hot weather.But warm weather also works for them.Geysers are usually sensitive to the cold but white Geysers may have easier time adjusting to the cold.Geysers may be very protective of their habitat.They may get extreamly angry when people they don't know come into their habitat.(Geysers are normally happy.)

{Love Flows Breeding}

Geysers have very hard times breeding.As many of their breedings turn into a fail.So they are not the best breed to get if you are looking to breed them with another wyrm because 60% percent of the breedings turn into a fail.

{DNA Traits}

All Geysers have-
Plating

Male Geysers Have-
Antlers

{In the mirror,Sizes}
Geysers usually come in teacup as it is the most common size they come in but tey are availible in all other sizes too.

Can I give you some tips?

The best thing to do would be isolating some traits you're specifically looking for. I see you're looking for plating on all of them, and horns on the males.

There are a lot of different types of plating, for example the forest wyrms have rounded plating, like Lily's, while mountain wyrms have more triangular plating, like Foamy's. The same is for horns, there's a big difference between Zhong Lung horns and Forest horns. I'd suggest figuring out which ones you like best, and then breeding those specific breeds with each other. Otherwise it just looks like you might be randomly breeding things and just getting hybrids, not necessarily a new breed.
.
For the horns, I don't believe HM has any sex linked traits so that would be really tricky to work with. You'd have to get her opinion on that of course, but from what I can see there's no way to guarantee a trait linked via a wyrm's gender.

My best suggestion is to go through the wyrms and find a few you like and think would produce viable babies. From your image I think you're looking at some sort of leaf crawler x maybe a Qui Lin, which has a kind of antler like Saffron. It would technically give you the probability of some of the babies not in fact carrying the horn since the leaf crawler doesn't have a horn, but does have plating.

The Qui Lin do have the white colours you're looking for, but then the other colours are more growler-y. Trying to breed those colours into a leaf cralwer x qui lin hybrid would prove a difficult task. Alternatively you might be able to breed a growler with leaf crawler plating, but it would take several generations to make that pure or a horned wood borer, which would give it the horn.

If you'd like some help I know the community is more than happy to help you out by isolating specific traits you want and helping figure out which breeds you will need to achieve those goals. My best advice is to look at what breeds there are now and think about how you can cross them to create something new.

As well, have you talked to your parents about this? Creating a new wyrm breed will be expensive, I'm going to estimate three breedings for three breeding seasons [9 in total, and I think that's not enough to create a viable breed that's solid and will always yield the same results] which is about $315. I'm fairly sure it will cost more than that in the long run to create the breed you want, as not every breeding will result in a baby with traits you want.

I hope this kind of helps, and don't hesitate to give me a shout if you want some help solidifying your idea. It does sound cool, but I'm not sure it's possible right now with the breeds of wyrms CF has.

I think I might put this on hold until they come out with new breeds of wyrms to see how it works.

I have talked to my parents about it c:

That sounds like a good idea. I know HM comes up with neat ideas for new breeds for the cons, so you might find one that works perfectly for what you want. Don't hesitate to holler if you need a hand.

Glad you're keeping the parents informed! My mum would have blown her gasket if I did anything like this when I was still a teen. xD
