"This is an APPROVED breeding project, but has been inactivated.
No breedings have been done towards this project since 2012.
To activate this project again, a breeding towards the end-goal will need to be done during one of the /main/ breeding seasons (winter/summer)."

Welcome to the Impossibly Possible stables soon to be home to the Faerie Fox. Among various things this is the major Head quarters for the mysterious breed, over time you can discover the necessary info for adoption and how you can be apart of the project. This thread is still in the early stages so please bear with me.

If you're interested in being apart of the Faerie Fox Project or would like to help out feel free to comment here or PM me.

Current Faerie Fox Questies:
CreaturesOfTheRealm (Me)
Ponygirl (Artist and general helper)

Contributors and Companions: (A list of generous handlers and wyrms donating breedings to further the project or are waiting to receive a project Fox companion.)
Kitishane: Flickerling Winter baby
Lady Masquerade: Fairy mixed breed winter baby
wispfox: (Faerie Fox Waitlist)
Nalik: (Faerie Fox waitlist)

What I'm looking for:
Pipfoxes of any rarity or colour
Ether the Flickerling or Flutterling Fairy wyrms
Mushroom gatherers or mixed breed Common forest wyrms with the glow trait (Suppressed and Dominate)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What we're striving to create here at Impossibly Possible stables is a canid faced wyrm with the glow platting and horns of a common forest wyrm (No singular horns) and the wings of the Flickerling or Flutterling Fairy wyrm. I'm hopping the very first wyrms of the breed will be a descendant of the Fairy King and Queen.
Breed Description:
The Faerie Fox is shrouded in mystery and misconception often perceived as delicate and harmless due to their secretive nature, this is far from the truth. The Fox is in actual fact a highly intelligent wyrm with equal measurements of cunning and Wisdom, couple this with a regal bearing and composed aloofness it is very hard to grow fond of after initial opinions. The Fox will consistently challenge their handler bestowing upon him or her pranks, annoying scrutiny, and general mischief, he will not listen nor will he respond to affection of any sort. Instead the Fox will often seek high ground and solitude to observe his surroundings; from this vantage point he will never miss a detail, nothing passes by the Fox unknown. Yet this is not to last, once you reach your nerve and about to give up the Fox might just deem you worthy of his companionship and judge you friend for life. Bonds like this are well worth the wait for this breed is full of knowledge and adores teaching those who love learning.
In saying this purebreds are not for the novice handler.
    Breed Quirks:
    The Faerie Fox is an elegant beast able to make their squiggling movements look graceful and effortless, often to the point where their handlers are left mesmerized.
    Larger Individuals like to adorn their long horns with items from their hordes, usually dangling baubles of great personal value.
    They have a habit of adventuring around their home especially if there are secrets to be discovered.
Breed Habitat:
Many Foxes live in the trees of vast woodlands, they are plentiful around streams and absolutely love the smell and sound of water over stone. They can sometimes be found in the outback where the stars are infinite and the horizon never ends, in fact most love the night sky and it is speculated this is how they mutated their glow trait.
Breed Standard:
Faerie Foxes come in a variety of soft, light colours or natural hues (Browns, dusky greens, whites, greys, reds, ect) darker shaded individuals are rarer. They all sport wings of Flickerling or Flutterling origin with long tapering horns. Individuals have unique glow platting, the glow can ether be dominate or suppressant.
Breed Genetics:
Expressed traits of the Faerie Fox will resemble something like this,
Extra Large Ears (Xx) OR (XX)
Glow (xx) [Must have the glow trait whether it be suppressed or dominate for it carries the spiffy black platting]
Platting (XX)
Canid (XX)
Wings (Xx) or (XX)
Horns (XX) or (Xx)
Specific colours at this stage have not been set.
Breeding Plans:
    Summer/June Public season:
    Rii'haku X Tiri (Receiving Clutchmates: Me and Ponygirl)
    Autumn/September Stable Season:
    Winter/December Public Season:
Clutchmate info:
Basically the same as the other brilliant stables who have sprung up before me; Not all bred wyrms will result in desired features, as such when the seasons come to town I (and any other handler willing to partake with Faerie Foxes) will be giving these wyrmlings up for adoption to interested handlers. This is a perfect opportunity to snag a little fox for yourself. These guys will of cause make perfect pets C:
HOWEVER, all adopted wyrms from Impossibly Possible stables can be called upon to contribute to the Faerie Fox population. Please be aware of this before adopting.
Thanks for reading!
This idea sounds really cute! If you'd like some art help I'd like to pitch in, though I don't have any of the types of wyrms needed for the breed. :oops: :lol: But I want one of these!
One thing though, I don't know that pipefoxes are available in teacup yet, or if they will be.
No tea-cup pipefoxes, as much as I recall. HM said they were too complicated to me made that small. So probably 100% fox head is not possible for tea-cup size...
Your fellow Handlers beat me to it....there are no Pipefoxes in Teacup size....they just don't breed in that Species.
The larger sizes though, Standard and up, are totally able to breed.
I'll go over the design once you've finalized the details, but at a quick glance, it should be do-able. Just be aware that as with all horn and ear combos, the ears will have to be wider set and the horns narrow to allow me to fit them both. :3
Yeah I thought I'd read that somewhere, no matter standards and above! *Rubs paws* This is going to be epic, I have a feeling all my spare monies will be poured into this project >:3 I can't help myself though, I'll have to devise a Teacup species sometime in the future. Perhaps a growler with wings.
No problamo with the ear and horn placement, I kinda got my ideas from Moongara's wyrm fursona and I loved the style. As long as it's achievable for both of us I'm extremely happy, I'll be polishing my designs and breeding plans over this month, so by March (fingers crossed) I'll have a fully functioning project. I already have thumbs up from Tyrrlin and Moongara to use their Fairy King and Queen *Jumps up and down* So that's one major component out of the way, all I need now is breeding charms.
And with my standard wyrm I'm getting from this season I'll be able to breed the royal wyrmling with him/her and produce the first individual of the breed in June, hopefully.
Thank you PonyGirl <3
Well I'll be needing loving homes for the various offspring that pops up from the project (Diversity is important), so if your interested there will always be a Fox just for you.
Also, I'm looking for someone to go halves with on Breeding charms for the Fairy King and Queen for this March season. If your interested in a Mini give me a shout C:
Experimenting with some color here, not sure if the body pattern is feasible...but it's cute! :D
I am getting two Flickerling Wyrms out of this most recent breeding season. I'd be happy to use some of their breedings to help further this breed. Both parents are teal (Cairan & Azure) so unless they do something unexpected genetically, they should fit into your color scheme. Please let me know!
That would be brilliant! Thank you :3
I'm getting a wyrmling from last season between Morgan and Varric so hopefully if the baby comes out with ears (there is a 50/50 chance), we could arrange a breeding with your little one for the March stable season, if your alright with it of cause ^^.
If it's a no can do for the March season it'll certainly be this Summer.
