Clutchmate Sizes
Posted: Tue Jan 29, 2013 2:11:59 pmI am curious, if this next coming season we want to breed up (teacup x standard) is it okay if one clutchmate is teacup and the other is standard or do they have to be the same size?

Posted: Tue Jan 29, 2013 2:19:50 pmI actually did this (Okami x Hikari) and you have to breed up to a standard. The reason is that the details won't transfer down and Teacups are kind of "starter" wyrms. Standards are preferred for breeding traits, apparently.

The only time you can breed up/down is if one of the parents is a mini.
If one parent is a mini, you could theoretically have a clutchmate that is a standard, and one a tea-cup.
Otherwise, in a tea-cup x standard pairing, the offspring is always standard.
It's easier to add more details, but not as easy to take them away.
