Color Gene question

So I have a quick question about the genetics of wyrm color.

If I breed a black wyrm (RRYYBB) with a white wyrm (rryybb), am I guaranteed a brown wyrm (RrYyBb)?

Is there no chance for a black, white, or grey wyrm from such a pairing?

Google "Punnet Squares"

Make a punnet square of the color codes. RRYYBB rryybb, and chart them. I do this, then roll a 4 sided dice to see which of the 4 squares the Wyrm's color ends up being. It should give you an idea of the color possibilities for any given breeding.

Just to clarify:

In the example that you posted, yes - there really is only one possible outcome, and that is: rRyYbB (Brown).
However, there are some traits which can modify color.

The most obvious would be Dilute, which can 'wash out' the Wyrm's color a bit.
There are also genetic traits like Albinism and Melanism.
And there are some 'invisible' genes (not listed on cards) which can effect color.
Figuring those out is a bit of a challenge. =3

But yes, HopefulMonster is right.
For breeding purposes, familiarizing yourself with Punnet Squares will help a /LOT/.
I've used it myself to figure out the chances of getting certain colors.
There's also a brief explanation in the Breeding Guide on the wiki.

I'm familiar with Punnet Squares. I just wanted clarification.

Further clarification. Why does the color scheme rryyBB produce Blue and Grey wyrms?

Examples:

In some breeds, the 'color' expresses itself differently.
For instance, in the Growlers, the 'color gene' expresses itself in their plating.

Another example is in the Qui Lins, who have their color gene express in their nose-markings.
Or the Jiao-Di's who express it in their cheek markings and plumage.

If you want an even weirder one, there are some breeds where the genetics have nothing to do with the colors expressed. An example of this would be the Imperial Fu breed, where all of them are 'rryybb' (white) genetically, but can appear with almost any color combination.

Usually if you take a look at each breed, you'll be able to figure out where the color expresses itself fairly easily.
