This account of the terror is via HopefulMonster, who experienced it first hand and survived!

So over the past few months, I've noticed a local chemical processing company in the area seems to be billowing more smoke than usual into the cool fall air. I had a bad feeling something was up, and it turns out I couldn't have been more right.

The local population of Wyrms, or at least the ones that live near the chemical company, seem to have become horribly mutated!

I had gone to bed, and shortly after turning off the lights heard a frantic meeping coming from downstairs. I ran down and flipped on the lights, and to my horror one of the mutated Wyrms had managed to squirm through the cat door and had attacked Pinot Noir! It was a grotesque creature, with most of the flesh on it's face rotted away, leaving a bare, grinning skull face. The fur was matted with blood and gods only knows what else, and when I brandished a fireplace poker at it to try and get it to drop Pinot, it showed no fear, and snarled at me, hissing and drooling a foul smelling saliva. Fortunately our dog heard the ruckus and came barking downstairs, and the mutated Wyrm dropped Pinot and squiggled back out the cat door. I blocked off the door, and have been trying to take care of my poor little Wyrm. He's been comatose for hours now, occasionally twitching like he's having a bad dream, but I cant seem to wake him up. I really hope he will be OK....this whole ordeal has me really rattled. I hope Pinot doesn't catch anything from the bite.........

---

Sneak peek at the Limited Edition Wyrms coming with me to Furfright this year! In keeping with the Halloween theme, Hopeful Monster Studios will be bringing along some of our new Wyrm Breed.....the Infected! Rotting, skull faced zombie Wyrms that have the ability to "infect" other Wyrms with their bite. The result is the bitten Wyrm will spawn a mutated Infected baby the next time they are bred. (Note: the Infected babies cannot transmit Infection with their bite! This is a trait ONLY carried by Full-blooded Infected Wyrms adopted at Furfright) Fortunately, each Infected Wyrm also comes with a Handler necklace, with a tiny vial of syrum to heal the bitten Wyrm parent.

Each Infected Wyrm will come with their own info card and egg, and the "antidote" vial necklace.

The infected Wyrms are so amazing! :D
Do you know if they'll have a limited amount of times that they can bite normal Wyrms?

Yes, I believe they will have a limited amount of times they can bite.
And their 'offspring' do not have the trait to infect others.

So they really are a limited run.
