Kumihimo Wyrm Collars

Quick note: The examples were all made for people so that's why they're all big on the wyrms XD

So I've been very much into Kumihimo braiding lately and I recently had the idea to make them for the wyrms! I think they make a cute little accessory for the fashion savvy wyrm~

I prefer to use a type of satin chord called Rattail in my braiding. It's very soft to the touch and comes in 3 sizes: 1-3 mm. I use different types of chording, but Rattail is my preferred. 1mm will give you a smaller braid and look nicer on smaller wyrms. 3mm will give you the thickest braid and look better on larger wyrms. It comes in a variety of colors, but some I will have to order in to the store.

I can currently do 3 types of braids: 8 strand, 12 strand, and 16 strand. As with the chording each strand amount results in a larger braid. Pattern wise I've got a variety of patterns on my pinterest and a site where I can make my own patterns as well :)

Current Prices
-Small wyrm (Teacup): $10.00 (+$2 for pendant)
-Large wyrm (Mini-Standard): $15.00 (+$2 for pendant)
-BIG wyrm (Great-Leviathan): $20.00 (+$2 for pendant)
*Prices based on materials: chording, foundings, clasps, pendant (add-on)
*Prices do not include shipping: I'll price shipping based on your location

Examples!
*Thank you to Kuki and Haise for modeling~*

So if you're interested let me know what colors you'd be interested in, the chord thickness, and strand amount you desire and I will get to work! For wyrms bigger than a mini please send measurements so I can find a comparable size to work on your piece (I've got tons of stuffed animals and OOAK art dolls so I'll likely be able to find something to work with!)~

First, I would be interested in a couple of teacup collars, one in black, red and gray/silver and one in blue, black and gray/silver.

Second, I think you should have included pictures of just the collars as well as them being modeled so we can see the entire collar, including the clasps.

These collars are very well done, Dresden! I particularly like the gold and silver-ish one.

I couldn't help but notice your wyrms name though. TG reference?

Ah, true! I've got some pics of the completely finished ones here

I typically use a lobster clasp, but I've got other clasps I can use (shown in the following picture)

I think this kind would be better for larger wyrms, but that's just my personal opinion.

And here's a pic of the other braids laid flat (they currently still need end caps as they turned out being larger than I accounted for!)

Thank you! That one is actually my own pattern so I'm particularly pleased with how it turned out ^___^

And yup, it is! I'm a HUGE TG fan so naturally some of my wyrms are gonna have some TG names XD
