This came up in chat the other day, but I'd like to organize a movie night.

In which we all watch the same movie at the same time.

How will this work?

We will use online streaming services! And be logged onto the forum chatroom, at a set time everyone will start the film at the same time, and together we watch it straight through.

To make it -easy- no pausing, just a straight run.

Now.

Netflix and youtube. Keeping in mind Canadian Netflix is different than US.

Well, the only online streaming service I can use on my end would be youtube.

But depending on what movie you're looking at, odds may be pretty good that we have a physical copy of the movie as well thus can use that on my end if I'm even able to get on at that time.

Another idea is that one person can stream it, though. And then all the chat can be in the stream's chat too. I know some people at times have done movie livestreams before.

I am HEAVLY against just streaming full movies not through other sites due to legal reasons and copyright issues.

Others maybe ok with dis reguarding distribution and copyright law, I'm not.

Ahh, alright. I just know it is done frequently and most people at least avoid the copyright thing by not letting the service have the movie save to their acct for viewing again. But it is all your choice there as to what to do.

But still, I can't do much for streaming service because I cannot really get any streaming online thing to hook up to a TV on my end. And honestly I don't like trying to watch on the computer since I have room for a small window. So hopefully it is still alright for one to just watch from the actual tape and make sure to start it at the same time as long as it is the same movie you're doing.
