A handfull of questions

I've had a few questions that have been pileing up so I thought I would put them all in one topic.

First off, is it possible to have the Lure gene and say a Horned Wood Borer style horn on the same wyrm? Or would them occupying the same spot on the head prevent that?

Also I have questions regarding the Glow gene and token. I LOVE the little black marks that show up as a result in wyrms with the glow gene and would like to know if they can be guarantied to pass to the offspring. Would you use a trait token or glow token? And what is the extent of the glow tokens ability? Do the parents have to have glow to use it or can it just add the glow gene to the baby?

That's all for now.

I think (not 100% sure) but for the glow markings like the black markings you would need Glow for them.

The thing I do know is that for the glow token in order for the offspring to receive glow one parent MUST carry the glow gene! You can't use it on two wyrms with no glow to make a baby with glow.
I hope I helped with at least one question!!

In general, any traits that would occupy the same place usually are not allowed together. You'll randomly get one or the other. Usually, we treat lure as dominant if the baby rolls for it, since it's the rarer of the two traits.

As for glow, I cannot specify exactly how it works in all cases. It is a 'magical' gene, and thus does not carry strictly genetically. The only way to guarantee anything is to either a) breed glow to glow, or b) use a glow token so long as one parent has the glow trait.

Thanks Zia. Well their goes my breed design... Oh well.

And I thought as much with the glow gene but thanks for the clarification.

Now I have a new question about breed projects. Do you have to breed in Alpha traits? I would like my Alpha Canopy Barkers to have a tail plume (like PGHs) but I don't know if I would need to breed it in.

If it is something that will ONLY appear on an alpha, then no, you do not need to breed for it.

I thought I would just reuse this thread to ask more questions instead of making a completely new one.

Quick genetics question. Lets say I'm breeding a Growler with a Swirl Snout and I trait for Growler ears. Would that make the dominant Horn trait of the Swirl Snouts not show up because they are in the same spot on the head or would they move between the ears?

Next set of questions are about how a Proxy handler works. I have two different friends who like collecting wyrms but wish to leave all the genetics and forms to me which I'm fine with I just want to know all their is to know about being their proxy. Mostly I'm curious about Handler Pins. Would I get a separate number for my friends accounts or would I be able to use my number?

Usually with growler ears and horns, the horns will appear, but they are smaller and often are moved inwards to accommodate, while the ears are moved outwards.

If you have a friend who wants you as a proxy, they should just register their wyrms under their names, but should note with their initial registration that they want you as a Proxy and I will set it up that way.

Thanks for the clarification Zia.

Currently my friends wyrms are listed under my account so how would they go about registering for an account without re-registering the wyrms?

Wyrms in question are Maru http://cruinndracfarms.com/wyrmwiki/index.php/Maru and Cora http://cruinndracfarms.com/wyrmwiki/index.php/Cora

I know when wyverns started D sculpted them if it was male dragon/female wyrm and Blitz did the opposite but as things kinda broke down with dragonside would it be possible for D to sculpt wyverns with female dragons/male wyrms? I ask because I have some really neat female dragons that I feel will never get to breed now. If this is not a possibility I understand.

We'll make an official announcement about this soon, but TLDR; yes, you will be able to breed any dragons to Wyrms, male or female.
