I saw a similar question in the Q&A forum, but couldn't find an answer to my own question (both here and on the wiki - although, I *could* just need new glasses or I'm just too durp to see it in front of me, LOL!)

Anyways, on my swirl snout card, there's the letter "A" above the number of breedings he has. I was wondering what the "A" means

The 'A' (or 'A'-looking symbol on older cards) means that your Swirl Snout is an Alpha of his/her breed. =3

There's also an Omega, which looks like: Ω

Oh wow, an alpha? O.o I'm guessing that means he's a little dominant, or "top dog" then, eh?

Being an alpha means he is the ideal for his breed. For example an alpha growler would have big ears and big teeth and be agressive as per breed description. An omega is docile with little ears and no teefers. Alpha leafcrawlers have vines with their leaves, alpha shriekers have two stingers, etc.

Your swirlie has LOTS of swirls which seems to be his main alpha trait. Might be something else like bigger horns but I didn't catch it if there is.

There also appears to be a circle of colour around the crystal, but I think you're spot on with the gorgeous swirling.
