As 2014 comes to a close, we'd like to take a moment to acknowledge the wonderful people who are part of this community. These can be the people we talk to at stupid-o-clock on the chat, or those who go out of their way to help newbies figure out how to engage in the game. Whatever the case, we want to know about the person you feel has been the most kind, helpful, generous person within the game.
These nominations will be used to determine who is awarded with this prestigious award, as well as the thanks of the entire Wyrm community. It's also a chance to just say thank you to someone you appreciate within the game. Keep in mind that we are not tallying votes here. Senior Staff (Arazia, HopefulMonster, and Sciggles) will not be posting here, but we will take our thoughts into account along with the community's opinions when we make our final choice.
Senior Staff (as listed above) may not be nominated. Anyone else (mods and other members of staff) may be nominated and may nominate others. You may not nominate yourself.
To nominate someone, please reply to this post with: (max of two nominations per person, please)
I nominate <insert name here> as 2014 Helpful Handler.
<A brief description of what the person has done that makes you nominate them.>

I nominate Ambaargh as 2014 Helpful Handler. She's the one who surprised me with my first wyrm, Feng, got me hooked, directed me to help with the game, shared the enthusiasm and got me pickups when she also had work to do and the lines were pretty nuts. She's done a lot of fantastic art for the community and is generally the sweetest person alive, in my opinion.
I nominate Tora as 2014 Helpful Handler. Tora is extremely helpful for discussing the 'crunchier' parts of the game (colour genetics, anything to do with teslas, which I really like, genetics in general), makes a lot of great art and does wyrm comics, is usually on at stupid-o'clock and is generally really friendly and good to chat with.

I nominate YearofDragon as 2014 Helpful Handler.
Year is always there when I need them. They are deeply familiar with the game's mechanics and willing to share the knowledge. They always offer helpful opinions on breeding projects and have helped me handle countless situations as a mod. Year is also active, contributes a lot of art, is friendly, enthusiastic, and approachable, and has quite the collection of wyrms too.
I nominate Gardentoaster as 2014 Helpful Handler.
GT is a fellow stupid o' clocker. She always has kind words for anyone in need and offers advice when she can. We know her best for her silly tumblr gifs, biology knowledge, and advice on breeding. Also birbs. She has always been one of our most enthusiastic handlers, and despite back luck in pick-ups and distance she's been a good sport. GT has really grown into an amazing and well loved member of the community.

I nominate Celestine8 as 2014 Helpful Handler.
Celes is always a great positive energy on the site. She is enthusiastic, compassionate, and mature. When trading with her, she is always prompt and makes sure everything is right on track. She's helpful when it comes to wyrm help, but also there when you just need someone to chat to.
I nominate SandySchreiber as 2014 Helpful Handler.
Sandy has done two pickups for me, and she's always been absolutely fantastic, keeping an open line of communication. I really think she exemplifies the type of person we want in the game online and at cons. She is always considering other people's feelings and needs, and is so very kind. She's contributed her beautiful art work to various charities that have been held on the forums, and I think she's an amazing woman with a huge heart.

I nominate Shadra as 2014 HelpfulHandler;
Dude, you've been awesome to talk to at weird hours about weird things that my brain gets awkward about! I am psyched that your one of staff now and eagerly await your descent into madness. But mostly, your just awesome with problem solving and know when it's good to ask for help and are fantastic at giving help and support! You are also one of the few people id ask to do pickups because you understand what I mean by -eye searing clown barf-. And for being awesome with the Irrah x Urgl trade, and the Jam x clown barf trade, and not killing me for putting spiders in every package I send you. sans the Animal Crossing game...I couldn't put a spider in that one but the game has a spider IN it you can catch so that counts, maybe?
I nominate GardenToaster as 2014 HelpfulHandler;
For being a shark butt. Actually for having one of the coolest heads I've seen, you've been thrown awful luck this year with pickups and while some folks would be flipping pancakes, you manage to remain cheerful. And this is infectious, you've helped calm down stressed handlers and managed to remain cool headed and when problems arise you know to come to mods and staff first, and no drama on the board! For putting up with my blame Canada jokes, being there to talk to about stupid stuff on Skype...for getting me into tumblr. And mostly for trading that GAO for shark stuff, so a brand new handler could get their first wyrm. /which will be registered soon Tegan just needs to find a name./ someday I hope you can attend a con, but who knows if border patrol will let you into the country, you are a shark afterall! XD

I would like to nominate YearofDragon as well. Year has always been an amazing help when it comes to explaining some more complex aspects of the game. For example, Year has helped explain color codes in a way that was simple to understand. For someone like me (who gets confused with color codes easily) this is super helpful and I appreciate them taking the time to explain.
I would also like to nominate Shadra. Shadra has been a joy to be around and was super kind to me since I joined the game. Shadra also is another handler who helps others out when they can and is also not afraid to step in and make sure rules are being followed. Another example of Shadra being awesome would be Shadra's kindness and willingness to let me use a breeding from some of her wyrms for my breeding project (Snaggle is going to be the cutest grandad for the melour project babies)!
I'm probably rambling so... Yup, these are my nominations!!

I also support GT as one of the nominees for this. GT in chat has been consistently friendly, upbeat and ready to share wisdom and a helping hand. She is welcoming and very helpful when I have any questions and shes a wonderful person.
Year is also a fun person in chat who has helped out when I have questions. She is ready to share wisdom or reach out to support peers. I so appreciate all that these people do on a daily basis.

I'd like to nominate Celestine8 and GardenToaster.
Both of them always brighten my day when I see them about on the chatbox and are always super helpful and friendly to folks. I'd say more but I'm honestly so up to my eyeballs in boxes that I want to just get my nominations out before I possibly lose internet for a week.

I second (or third) the nomination of Shadra for the 2014 Helpful Handler title. I will write more when I am not on my phone.

There are so many lovely handlers in the community, it was so hard to pick just a couple!!
I nominate ShadraAvro as 2014 Helpful Handler.
Oh man, where to even start! Shadra has been both a great friend and super helpful handler to everyone, it's incredibly rare to see a post in the Welcome board without Shadra being one of the first to offer a warm welcome into the community. As one of my fellow mods, Shadra has helped me solve many problems that I just needed another mind for! I cannot be more excited that they're a sculptor now and I look forward to seeing their work in the furniture!!
I nominate GardenToaster as 2014 Helpful Handler.
GT is not only a close friend of mine, but in my opinion is also one of the most helpful handlers! She's always on the chat and is absolutely superb at giving answers to even the toughest of questions, some of which even I'd be afraid to tackle. Along with putting up with all the cat pictures I throw at her via skype, GT is incredibly patient with other handlers and really takes the time to explain things in an amount of detail that clarifies any questions a person may have!! She's been thrown kind of a bum hand as of late, but her cheerful demeanor is never shaken even in the worst of times and I believe it rubs off on everyone she talks to!
