We had one last year, and it was such fun that I was wondering if there were any plans for another?
Mods and staff, please delete or remove this if something is already in the works.

If there are no plans, it might be cool for us as the community to do something fun. I'm happy to help facilitate something, though I probably can't do it all on my own.

Does anybody have any ideas or thoughts?

I do not believe that we currently have anything in the works.
We're all a bit overloaded trying to get things done.

HOWEVER -
If someone wants to run something, we'd be glad to act as judges and/or provide prizes.

- Fall/Halloween Photography contests including Wyrm costumes

Photography or spooky story writing would be a neat one.

I'd be down for participating in a Halloween thing.
Perhaps give a list of 'inspiration' words and see what people can create from them?

I'd be happy to run it if you'd like, since I was involved last year, and don't really have time to make an elaborate entry this year. It may be a good idea for a second person to work with me, though? Just to ensure accountability, and a diversity of opinions.

I love stories, and I'm super keen to have them, but I also know that the Valentines Day contest was only story-based, and it might be a bit sad to limit people. I'm keen to see another photography/art/writing contest. Perhaps one overall grand prize, and three small prizes for category winners? Would anyone not planning to enter be willing to create art or some sort of candy pack for category prizes? I'd love to, but my postal system being what it is, you'd probably get your prizes as Christmas presents. I'm still keen if nobody else can, though!

I'm very interested in doing a spooky story/horror theme this year. But the PG restrictions that applied with the Valentines Day contest would have to apply here, specifically posting it off-site if it's gory/violent/too scary for minors. I love scary though. A lot. Maybe three well-known scary story bases, for people to work around? Dracula, Frankenstein and one other?

I don't recall last years being judged besides the fan fave, am I wrong? I'm just wondering if that's going to be dealt with first, because I would be hesitant to enter again if the same will happen.

The whole reason I'm saying that we cannot run something ourselves right now is that we don't have time. We can offer to help judge and possibly offer some prizes, but we are up to our eyeballs in stuff to do.

As for last year, I honestly don't recall what happened with it.
I thought prizes were awarded, but I could be wrong.
In any case, I don't think it's likely we'll go back and re-visit it at this point, and we'll probably just move forward instead.

This sounds really interesting!! I'd love to help if it is needed. But I'd also be interested in participating if too many people are already interested in helping.
