C'mon let's blow up balloons...
Anyways. I'm having a party Saturday for my birthday. FUN RIGHT? But... I've never had a party before! I don't know what I'm doing.
It's small, less than 10 people. It's technically BYOB, but I want to provide at least a bit of alcohol.
I'm hoping...
- 1 bottle red, 1 bottle white
- Beer (24 pack maybe)
- Birthday Cake Vodka (yum)
- Some sort of cooler, like smirnoff ice?
Then mixers...
- Coke
- Sprite
- Gingerale
- Orange juice
Do those sound good? I have some other liquers lying about but not 100% sure where, but certain I have some sour puss, schnapps, and a few other things. Somewhere.
Food wise, I was going to do...
- Small veggie tray
- Hot apps
- Order pizza?
- Cake or cupcakes or something
Tomkins wants balloons. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Sounds like you've got more than enough planned for food and drinks, especially if your guests are bringing drinks as well. Do you need any recipes for appetizers or deserts?

I'd love some recipes! I'm more into desserts, so app recipes (that are easy and yummy) would be super helpful!

That sounds like more than enough alcohol, especially if your guests bring some too. I'd say you could cut two of them if you wanted to, but of course it's fine to have leftovers!
Chips and salsa/guac are always an easy appetizer to do and a big hit. JalapeƱo poppers are good too, and don't require a whole lot of prep. I'm a dessert fiend but a terrible cook/baker! XD If you're looking for easy this fudge recipe is awesome, and you can make it better by adding in pretzels, marshmallows, or whatever else

I love these ^^

Those are all great, thank you! Glad to hear it sounds like I have enough alcohol, lol. I want people to bring their own, but I also want to have things here. My best friend throws really elaborate parties, so I'm always a bit unsure.

Sounds like a super pumped up party! It seems like you do have enough alcohol in your place for yourselves and possibly some for guests!
I do want to add one thing you should def try out. Its my favorite kind of chip dip and its really simple to make
Onion Chip dip!
All you need is the Lipton onion soup mix and Sour creme
Mix one of the packets of the soup mix to 1 (16oz) container of sour cream, blend it together and boom amaaaaazing chip dip!!
Its good for chips and veggies too!

This totally must be a Canadian thing because my mum ALWAYS does this!

It is delicious.
