I haz a sad.:(
OK, feels like I need to address
some concerns regarding the new random name generator system for egg slots.
When the same people keep getting wyrms from every stream, and those with internet issues keep getting left out in the cold, it officially becomes an issue to me. My intent was that NO ONE gets screwed simply because they don't have super fast internet, or aren't sitting in front of the computer button mashing refresh. I can totally appreciate being excited, its super flattering to have folks that excited about this game. But I decided to do homecon instead of trying a new convention because I wanted those who normally don't get a chance to choose their own wyrms at conventions to have that chance. I do not want to see arguing, general nastiness, or poor sportsmanship. I've seen that enough in other adoptable games and I have absolutely no desire to encourage that sort of mindset here. Having differences of opinion is totally fine, its even healthy when talked out politely and calmly. But when things get heated or tempers flare, step away and take a few minutes to relax and realize that life is way too short to stress over the little things.
I love our community. Its filled with incredible, good hearted, kind people who help and support each other. THAT is the kind of game I want to run, not something that is super competetive and cutthroat. Remember, these are your fellow handlers. Be good to each other. Otherwise, the Karma Ferret will poop in your shoes.
